CZ (Ceska zbrojovka) is located in the Czech Republic and has been in business since 1936.
Their model CZ-75 was introduced in 1975 and is well respected all over the world for it's reliability, toughness and accuracy.
The new P-09 Duty is a bit large for CCW unless you're wearing a thick coat but it wasn't really designed for concealment.
Available in 9x19 (19+1)(suggested retail $514.00) or .40 S&W (15+1)(suggested retail $528.00)

-------------

"The P-09 Duty is the full-size version of the P-07, boasting an impressive 19+1 capacity in its flush-fitting magazine that is unsurpassed by any other 9mm service pistol. Featuring the versatile Omega trigger system, the P-09 is shipped with decockers installed but can easily be converted to a manual safety with the supplied parts and instructions. Also included are three interchangeable backstraps that allow the user to customize the pistol's grip to their hand while retaining the natural point of aim that CZ handguns are known for. With an integrated 1913 Picatinny rail, the P-09 is readily adaptable to low-light situations.

The Omega DA/SA trigger provides crisp single action trigger break, while providing the safety of a DA first-pull option."

I hate DA/SA, plus a wimpy looking trigger on my guns (i.e, Beretta, H&K, CZ)

I prefer the heavy duty (thick) Sig triggers.

My ideal all time favorite is the Sig P250 DA ony subcompact 9mm that can carry as much as 16 rounds with the mag extension option.

“ony subcompact 9mm that can carry as much as 16 rounds with the mag extension”

What about a Glock 26? It accepts the Glock 17 magazines. I’m seriously asking, I’m not trying to be snarky.

Don’t know why I even ask, I live in CO. Apparently the CO state legislature thinks it’s vital to public safety that we protect our homes and families using 15 round magazines.

It would be nice to have a 9x23 version. Capacity of a 9mm plus the damage of a .357 mag.

Very nice.

I’ll take the .40 SW 16+1

The tagline is a lie. The Springfield Armory XDm 9mm also holds 19+1

I like DA/SA action and hate all-DA. Pretty soon you either start staging, or you end up pulling the muzzle down before the actual fire, because of the long, heavy pull. I was always taught to squeeze the trigger, and DA is not going to let you do that unless you stage. (However, not having to have a safety is nice).

Yeah the Sprinfield Armory XD can hold 16 in a sub compact using an extended mag. And the compact XDm can hold more.

Get a Kimber and if, GOD forbid you ever need to shoot a bad guy they won’t get back up.

Glock 26 will take the 10, 12, 15, 17, 19 round magazines.

And as long as you are considering extended magazines, the 33 round magazine fits it as well. Makes the Conceal Carry rather difficult though.

Yeah, because bad guys can't be killed with anything less than a $900 handgun.

Should read, “DOA” as in Double Action Only.

its no different than a revolver.

The P250 has the smoothest trigger pull on the market.

Even NutnFancy has the P250 in his all time top ten.

I’ve been carry a FN Five-seven pistol lately, because of the 20+1 rounds.

Oddly enough, it’s such a bastard round I’ve been able to find it all over.

Some revolvers are DA, it is true, but others are single action (hence the manual ‘fanning’ of a revolver in rapid-fire to cock the hammer).

Can you put this in your pocket and it be invisible?

If not, I’m not taking it anywhere.

I’m not knocking the P250. You expressed your likes and dislikes, and I expressed mine, which are opposite. The CZ, DA/SA, would be fine for me. I happen to dislike long, heavy pulls, but that is just me.
