A teenager was shot and killed when he tried to chase after two robbers who allegedly stole his brother's cell phone in Jersey City early Friday morning, his family says.
Muhammed Choudhry, 18, was inside his Virginia Avenue home with his family preparing food for the Ramadan holiday at about 3 a.m. Friday, according to his family. His older brother, Yassir, was sitting on the front stoop when two men approached him and demanded his cell phone.

So sad, A cell phone is not worth a life, I would just let it go. If you two thugs willing to rob you on your own doorstep you have to wonder what else they would do. Now we know. Equally sad is they won’t be able to give descriptions to the police because it would be profiling.

What a problem for law enforcement. I mean, what do they do now? A muslim is killed chasing a black thief. Uh oh, who you gonna charge now? The irresistible force meets the immovable object.
Unfortunately if this guy had been attacked by anyone OTHER than a Black thug it probably would have had more publicity. But since they were attacked by Blacks, nobody cares.

??? Why would the whole family be up at that time preparing a meal and one guy sitting on the porch using his cell phone? Also, why were the robbers on the street at 3am?
The Ramadan fast is from sunrise to sundown I believe. But IIRC, then they feast at night. And perhaps all through the night?
