and I just wanted to share that with fellow freepers and any lurking liberals who may question our resolve. Can't wait to wear my pin and vote for leadership that will continue to protect and defend the constitution of the United States. God Bless America. That is all.
Welcome to the club.
Be prepared for 10,000 bits of NRA mail.... every day... forever
Been a Life Memeber since the mid-80s and American Rifleman is the only thing I get regularly. A fe infrequent pieces of mail, but no more than when I was a regular member.
And 50 telephone calls a week. I’m a lifetime member too since 1972. But I finally got them to quit bugging me. Told them when I saw an issue that I wanted to get involved with, I’d call them. And I do.
I became a life member before they went wobbly.
Now they are touchy/feely and “reach out” to the gun grabbers.
Gone are the days of Charlton Heston
Thanks. I’m curious, how do the elections work?
Life member since 1975 and I think I paid $100.
Welcome aboard! I became a lifetime NRA member three months ago. I don’t own a gun myself, but I want my right to own one protected.
Congrats!
Life Member since 1992.
I remember my dad telling me to become a life member back in the 1980s but I was just a broke kid back then. I had actually been thinking about doing it earlier today and then, as if by fate, the NRA called me up this evening and asked me to join for life. Really kind of a weird coincidence actually so I felt compelled to say yes.
Congratulations and Welcome,
Please allow me to be the first to recite the unwritten code of members to anyone else, “You can have my weapon when you pry it from my cold dead fingers”. This particular statement pre-dates the NRA Presidency of Charlton Heston. I believe it even pre-dates the Vietnam war.
Only cost a $100.00 back 1968, and the only mail I get now is an E-mail couple times a week.
Disabled vets get lifetime membership for 1/2 price. They used to provide the lapel pin now you have to buy it.
Very few solicitations & American Rifleman for life. For that I’m in some Federal database but mox nix.
I appreciate you and my fellow NRA life members. The NRA is America's oldest civil rights organization, and they do great work.
I hope you continue your involvement and help fund the fight to push back those that attack our 2nd Amendment Civil Rights.
Ignore the keyboard complainers that think scoffing and infighting is the answer. Yes the NRA will call sometimes. Most of the time I will give, sometimes I may not. But they are the group I help pay for to fight for my priceless freedoms (and the freedoms of those that complain about the NRA as well), I am happy to help fund the fight.
You are part of a great American Institution. If you can make the annual convention, you will not regret it.
Congrats!
No offense, it’s your $$ to blow, but isn’t this the same gaggle that (recently?) believes and support ‘common-sense gun regulations’?
I would think GOA and the like would be more akin to the ‘..shall not be infringed’ mantra to help/back financially.
I will admit I was a member for quite a few years, no calls, some mail, but their capitulation on an easily read Right (2nd A) didn’t sit with me quite well enough to keep forking over the $$.
I was a life member till the leadership turned rino, so the nra and it’s membership can blow it out their ass.
Good for you.
That could sure buy me some tires for my car........
I think the NRA proved themselves during the recent gun control battle. They held the line. They got the job done and I don’t think there was anyone else out there that could have gotten that job done. Frankly, I think it’s time they get the credit they are due.
