Wal-Mart is making Twinkies available this weekend, even though Hostess says it asked retailers to wait until Monday to start selling the spongy yellow snack cakes.
The world's largest retailer announced Friday that the cakes were available at about 1,600 stores and that about 3,000 of its 4,000 U.S. stores should have them by Sunday morning. That's a day before the July 15 return that Hostess has trumpeted in its marketing.

I’ll bet “hardworking” Americans have already started camping out in front of Walmart so they can be the first in line. It’s “Black Friday” all over again. Watch for the stampedes and people getting beat up and trampled.
There’s going to be a riot.

Ah, the venerable Twinkies! I like them with peach slices and the peach syrup from the can poured over the mix. You can also make a no cook apple pie with Twinkies and apple pie filling. But putting a couple of dips of ice cream on two or three Twinkies is just decadent.
Aged like a fine wine.
Ghastly union work-rules is what drove Hostess bankrupt.
this new company kept the Hostess name?
