Judge Debra Nelson has behaved like a partisan hack the entire trial. Her asking George if he wanted to testify was beyond unusual. It was tantamount to jury tampering.
She wouldn't have done any of this if the trial were going the way she wanted it to.
I agree. The evidence and testimony I’ve seen reported in the MSM, hardly Zim’s friends, all point to acquittal.
was this done in front of the jury?
if so there is the mistrial.
the prosecution wants all the lesse included offenses in order to have a win place OR show sentencing.
all o them are 10-20-life.
What are the chances of getting 3 arseholes like Bernie, Mantei and Guy all in one place at the same time?
If perjury in a civil lawsuit is grounds for impeachment then so is this...TIMES TEN!
Did she demand that Zimmerman declare if he's going to testify before his counsel was finished, or not?
Is that too tuff? That right there is my question.
I think you win the prize for “Post of the Trial”...........
I’d say excellent.....look how many are in Washington DC.
Something faster than Metamucil.
I don’t believe the jury was there - pretty certain they were not.
As I understand - it’s just as you state - the judge needs to be sure that the choice whether or not to testify is the defendants and not the lawyers.
She didn’t ask him if he was going to testify, she asked him if he had made a decision about whether or not he was going to testify.
It was pretty weird timing - usually I think the judge says to the lawyer - as such and such a time I’m going to asked the defendant if s/he wants to testify. Instead of that, the judge seemed to go right a Zimmerman and seemed to have caught everyone off guard. In the end he said “No” he hadn’t made a decision and then she asked if the time between then and the end of the defence case would be long enough for him to decide and he said “Yes”. At then end of the defence case - she then indeed did ask if he would testify and he said “No”.
Non-the-less a pretty weird exchange.

Sorry, just doing my job! ;-)
I stand corrected on both grammar and spelling.
You need to send Jim a grammer_an_punct engine to add to his spel engine
“You need to send Jim a grammer_an_punct engine to add to his spel engine”
I was joking and I hope that you are, too! ;-)
Yes of course.
It is, however, nice to read posts that don’t shake your faith in our public education system. I hope my 8th grade English teacher doesn’t see my first post!
Somebody else said that she’s supposed to ask it, but at the end of testimony, not in the middle of it. The defense still had witnesses to call.
I wonder if someone could ask the Judge to hold the verdict until Monday at 9:00 AM for the sake of lessening the chance of riots?
It is/was obvious to me that this ‘judge’ was trying to snooker Zimmerman to set him up for the prosecution apart from his attorneys. This ‘judge’ probably of the feminine movement needs to be disbarred and prosecuted for nonjudicial behavior. I have dealt with a number of these low level judges and have a bad taste in my thoughts.
That and they were not smart enough to get out of jury duty
Bwahahahaha! I’d pay fifty bucks to see those two
photos in the big story slot on Drudge!! LMFAO!
