Zimmerman will be acquitted. Judge Nelson's attempt to force him to testify tells us so.

Posted on 07/10/2013 1:50:43 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Judge Debra Nelson has behaved like a partisan hack the entire trial. Her asking George if he wanted to testify was beyond unusual. It was tantamount to jury tampering.

She wouldn't have done any of this if the trial were going the way she wanted it to.

Never underestimate the utter cluelessness of a Florida jury (or voter).

The Casey Anthony case was a trial that everyone watched too, the majority believing she murdered her little girl and she was found not guilty..if she can be found not guilty with all that evidence against her, Zimmerman can be found not guilty with ZERO evidence against him

I dont know why Zimmerman said that he wasn’t sure yet...

Because he's not used to being a defendant in a court of law.

A couple more trials and he'll be an expert.

Which is good, because after he gets acquitted, Eric Holder will bring federal charges.

The big-government criminal complex will not allow an acquittal to stand.

Interesting.

I could see her asking him directly...once.

More than once and something is not right.

Her honor has no idea of how the jury will decide or fail to decide.

No man’s life, liberty or property are safe as long as court is in session.

This was my initial thought as well, but things have changed in recent years. Judges now almost have to ask defendants who are not testifying if they want to testify; because not doing so is just asking for an appeal.

The background is that a lot of public defenders are so overwhelmed with caseload, that they are desperate for their defendants to bow out of the case quickly. A lot of pressure for them to plea bargain or plead guilty. And especially for them *not* to testify, because the prosecution will tear them to ribbons, even if they don’t have to, and burn up a lot of time doing so.

Then, as soon as the defendant is convicted they appeal on the grounds that they were pressured by their attorney.

I don’t think that the judge’s inquiry into whether Zimmerman will testify tells us what is going on in the jurors’ minds. You just never know with these verdicts (see Casey Anthony).

I dont know why Zimmerman said that he wasn’t sure yet, I think it would have made things easier for him had he said “No your honor, Ive invoked my right not to testify”

Was the jury there? If so, this was the best way for Zimmerman to handle the badgering. He has to make the jury thinks that he WANTS to tell his story, but his stupid attorney just won't let him, sigh.

It tells you what the judge thinks is going on in the jurors' minds.

Sadly, I agree.

The jury will decide that regardless of how badly the prosecution presented the case, the only real point to consider is the explosion of racial hatred and violence that will result if Zimmerman walks free.

They will decide that Zimmerman was at least partially responsible for what happened, even if not quite up to the 2nd degree murder level, so if the lumps he has to take are a bit stronger than he deserves, he can console himself with the fact that he is making a sacrifice to preserve peace and harmony.

Needs of the many, you understand... Stiff upper lip, all that.

Not that it will make the slightest bit of difference. There will still be riots, but hey, this way they will be “Happy Riots”.

defense is now trying to get some defense witness testimonies thrown out. John Donnely.

it’s all they’ve got.

They never disproved George couldn’t not have acted in a legal way, that there’s no way he could have done this in self-defense. They have not destroyed reasonable doubt of use of self-defense.

Also it is not illegal for anyone to follow anyone else. Private investigators, spouses following another spouse, stranger following stranger. It’s not illegal to follow people around. Liberal activists follow people they like and don’t like around. Papparazi follow people they like and don’t like around. Private agents, government agents, all follow people around. For a whole variety of reasons.

From what I understand, She Asked GZ well before that question was supposed to be asked. The defense still had witnesses and was not quite ready to rest.

This was done well before George had the chance to talk to his attorneys about that phase. What she did was reprehensible and will also play into any appeal if the verdict is a conviction.
