The recent revelations that have come to light about the Pentagons “dysfunctional” efforts to recover our MIA’s have already drawn the ire of the Silver Star Families of America. (The SSFOA) National President Steve Newton issued a blistering statement: “The United States of America has a moral obligation to never voluntarily leave anyone behind. Over 80,000 service members are listed as missing, from World War II, Korea and Vietnam and to let the recovery program fall into such disarray is a national scandal and disgrace.”

“Today, the SSFOA Board of Directors has issued a directive that we place the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command on our watch list. If no one will provide oversight, we will,” Newton concluded.
The Silver Star Families of America is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to remember, honor and assist the wounded, ill, injured and dying of our Armed Forces from all wars.
