Very cool! I love the intersection of technology and antiquity. I just bought a CD player once owned by George Washington...!
Amazing, the author spent years researching these vets and putting pictures to them. Finally sounds like a book worth buying!
Cool!
They had faces then! No teeth but great, strong faces.
By the way, everyone should read the hilariously idiotic comments section after looking at the great photos. It seems most of the world has never seen a photo older than 1950!!
Thank you for posting this.
Isn’t it ironic that it comes from a UK source.
Everytime I see photos like this “Scroooooooge” pops into my head. lol

Wow. The article says this body of work was inspired by another collection by Reverence E.B.Hilliard, whose work is also available on Amazon as an e-book. “The Last Men of the Revolution”. Just reading his introduction brought tears to my eyes. Such reverence for those men. The writings of those days were works of art in themselves.
Matthew Brady photographed 18 of the 19 American Presidents from John Quincy Adams (6th) to William McKinley (25th). The exception was the 9th President, William Henry Harrison, who died in office three years before Brady started his Photographic Collection.
Thanks for posting this. It’s so interesting to put faces to the men behind our history as a nation.
