It's bad enough looking at these idiots in their colorful tight spandex garb and the stupid looking shoes they wear but are most bicyclists ignoramus's who think they own the road?
Here I am sitting at a red light and to the opposite side of the intersection, there are 7-8 bicyclists turning left to ultimately be in front of me. My light turns green and as I approach the cyclists, everyone one of them is darting in and out of their bike lane causing me to brake, then go, then brake, etc. to the point I couldn't go around them without going into the lane to my left that was congested with cars. A couple times I had to float over the middle line to avoid these dumbasses.
I'm not a cyclist but is it that hard to stay in a bike lane and/or are these just stupid liberal California cyclists?
Practicing for when they get their motorcycle license.
And what makes them think that little doofy helmet will save them in a car crash?
Oh, man. I’ve been there. All of a sudden there’s a couple of bikes going 25 mph slower than you. And the car behind you is tailgating.
Amen.
That one needs an 18 Wheeler to ........
{Got to be careful of what we say. The new Gestapo has ears and eyes every where these days}.
Although Denton County is a great place with Congressman Mike Burgess and other Conservatives, the city of Denton itself is, sadly, becoming an urban cesspool. That university attracts a lot of liberal outsiders, a good number of them arrogant Yankees who have not adopted Texas values.
I remember when Denton was nice decades ago. But it's now become nearly 11% black and over 21% Mexican. But, like I said, the outlying areas are still all-American and quite Texan.
There is a strange personality disorder found in many bicyclists. If I was a graduate student in Psychology, it would be my doctoral thesis topic. On the one hand, they are utterly vulnerable. Completely at the mercy of any angry, crazy, impaired person out there. And, simultaneously they are aggressive and combative. Often intentionally infuriating drivers by the usual tricks, lane straddling, passing lines on the sidewalk, disregarding the traffic signals, etc.
Its really fascinating to see. I must admit it. Its like seeing the neighbor’s vicious dog attack the parking meter ticket guy. Pure amusement.
But, it is none the less highly dysfunctional. Bicycling on roadways is the absolutely hands down the most dangerous form of exercise based recreation. So, who are those people?
They are like that in Massachusetts, for sure. Basically, they are intoxicated on self righteousness and blithely inconsiderate of other people on the road and the rules of the road in general.
That looks like some little girl’s bike. A girly man with his cute little helmet going to a duel with a car.
Those morons riding n-side-by-side should be passing each other or stay single file. However the CA motor vehicle code doesn't quarantine the bicycles to the bike lane or the right side of the road; it merely requires the bikes stay as far to the right as practical, and bans the cars from the bike lane except when turning. So for example when encountering poorly constructed shoulders or grates or a left turn or slowpokes it's alright to venture out in front of irate motorists. hahah. Also splitting lanes is allowed for bicycles (if you dare, heheh). If the bicyclist wants to use the pedestrian crosswalk (motorists are required to kowtow to pedestrians in a marked crosswalk no matter what) they have to get off the bike and walk in order to be considered a pedestrian.
And so on. And most people you meet on the SF peninsula are in fact liberals; even the conservative people here are more liberal than a typical Arizona Democrat, for example.
Also my riding gear includes padded spandex, it's just way more comfortable. But I have no advertising copy, I just wear a reflective vest. Amusingly in AZ I find en-bicycle open carry is way more effective at engendering polite intra-vehicular behavior.
Bicycle Hooligans. “Same rules, same road” they’ll scream at you, until the rules are inconvenient for them, like waiting for the light to turn green before they cross the intersection.
Aspen-skier and cyclist-barrister, government sanctioned gimme buttwipes.

So, who are those people?
Arrogant fools.
As noted throughout this thread, bicycle riders are largely American-hating leftists. They take joy in thinking that they're sticking it to Exxon. They hate the type of vehicles that red-blooded American drives: trucks, SUVs and Hummers.
From my perspective, in the same camp as bicyclists are those who ride mass transit. Here in the Dallas area, there's DART -- the ridership of which looks mostly like Zimbabwe. Bicycle riders are latte-sipping liberals and mass transit riders are third-world liberals.
By the way, ask anyone from Georgia about thee mass transit system in Atlanta, MARTA. The meaning of the abbreviation is quite funny...and spot on.
The other day, four girls were walking side by side so that they took up a whole lane.
At least, they were facing traffic as they are supposed to do. Now if only they would walk single file, both of us could have used the roadway but noooooooo, it was side by side, while I had to stay stopped at the corner until they walked by - smiling as they went.
Cyclists here head out during rush hour in the morning and evening, thinking that everyone is supposed to cease driving until 25 or 30 of them cycle, again side by side, using the entire lane.
Of course, I'd love to play bumper car but I just smile and let them go on by.

There’s a Prius in my town with a “Pollution Is A Weapon Of Mass Destruction” bumper sticker. Some day I’ll catch up to him and ask him some questions about his car that he’ll be embarrassed about and/or unable to answer.
I’ve probably told the story before of the photos I saw of a big rig versus bicyclist collision. Then cyclist’s internal organs were strewn across the pavement along the course of a long wide red smear of blood. They had been squeezed out of him while he was being dragged by the truck tires.
I refer to such arrogant cyclists as the Spandex Mafia.
