On July 4th a new tradition was started - Roman Candle Dodge Ball, with a twist. The twist being try to dodge the Roman Candles while riding a four wheeler.
In the middle of this game, humblegunner made a comment that he bet there are several people on FR that would like to do this to him without trying to miss.

No lemons were harmed in the making of this post. None that we know of any way.

Contributing to the delinquency (and second-degree burns) of
millions of impressionable Youtube viewers. I do kinda feel bad about that. Especially after searching YouTube and finding that my videos were the only ones showing people shooting Roman Candles at each other.

I do kinda feel bad about that. You should. You've contributed to the decline of society.

This brings to mind my Mom's admonition: "You'll put someones eye out!" They had on safety glasses. ;-)

Looks like some people never grow up. Right?
I would have much rather preferred sitting at home watching the Lifetime channel and sipping on iced tea.

Anyone who handles fireworks barefootRly. I still have scars and pleasant childhood memories from the firecracker wars of East Texas...stepping on the bottle you launch the bottle rocket from isn't a problem for shod folk. Also always throw the firecracker/m-80 with an open palm so you don't blow your fingers off and interrupt the festivities. Best to wear a leather glove on the hand you use to load the bottle rocket rifle. If somebody shoots you with a pellet gun, you take it, you keep it no matter what their momma says. There is nothing quite as funny as pitching a dozen bundle of lit roman candles into the secret hideout. an actual 1/4 stick of dynamite is way more powerful than an m-100, neither of which should be thrown by a hand you want to keep. Model rocket engines can exceed the speed of sound when launched from a suitable piece of pipe. "in"flammable does not mean "will not burn" oops. Clean up before your parents come home; fresh fertilizer tends to overcome the smoke odor. Sand the char off the siding before you paint. etc.

We did discuss using the rifle, but not enough alcohol had been applied for anyone to agree to it.
