And so, as I was saying on the radio before I was abruptly interrupted. Its not much of a secret in Denver, Colorado, or across the United States of America, or all the ships at sea as we go to press because I made national news. I got canned, tapped out, knocked out, booted, clipped, excused, asked to leave, dumped, Bain Capitaled (Bain Capital is the owner of Clear Channel radio for those who dont know). Bain is now fondly known as the Mack the Knife corporation with a pink slip. Recently across America, Bain Capital has made more hits than the mafia.
So as I was saying, they asked me to go home like I was the kid who drew the picture of the handgun in the third grade. I had the inexcusable behavior of grabbing a lifelong friend and co-worker, who I really do see as a son, by the lanyard. I do own this, I did this; I grabbed his lanyard and pulled him to me. That act has been declared by Bain as workplace violence. Does anyone have any idea how much sadness Bain Capital, as a venture capitalist firm, has brought to the world? The destruction of families, family incomes, housing losses and everything that goes with it. These people now have the right to deem me as reportedly violent.
The producer who I grabbed and I had breakfast together the next morning at Zaidys. He was also not allowed back in the building. If I was the kid who drew the gun, he pretended he was a superhero. And thus that part of the story ends.

Me neither.
--I apparently need this to be translated into literate American--did he grab him by the necktie, maybe--?
Employee ID lanyard perhaps?
I remember there were some who were concerned Bain would influence the talk radio coverage of Romney. Did it? I don’t know the answer to that. Does the Saudi stockholder influence Fox?
-—ah—maybe —didn’t have those back when I was a supervisor( for most of forty years) but a rule I learned early on was NEVER TOUCH AN EMPLOYEE-—
Jobs come and go in that business. Glad Peter is back on the radio, he’s good at it. Known him for 35 years, and he’s a good man, even though we don’t always agree on everything.
Also, Peter has been under huge stress since his son was seriously and permanently disabled when he was hit by a car while jogging a few years back. I think this has affected him more than people realize.
Mr Boyles, I don’t know you or your work, but you sound like a Dem speaker at an Obama rally during the last election. Man up, admit you were fired because of your actions and quit trying to make someone else the bad guy. Or blame it on Bush, or global warming, or maybe “The Jewish Lobby”.
“Man up, admit you were fired because of your actions and quit trying to make someone else the bad guy.”
He did. Is your reading comprehension that bad?
My reading comprehension is excellent, thank you. I even noticed the parts where he brought Bain Capital into the conversation, and tried to paint them with the “Big, Bad Venture Capitalist” brush. So, I guess I’ll stand by my comments.
So, you mean because Bain might actually have problems you think Peter is not taking responsibility? He said his actions were terminating offenses but he also wanted others to understand the big picture. I guess big pictures are to much for you. So, no, your reading comprehension is not “excellent.” It is superficial at best.
In addition to excellent reading comprehension skills, I have excellent deductive reasoning skills. Mr Boyle brought Bain into the conversation in order to lay blame for his firing. Just as an appology that starts with “If I offended anyone...”, is not real, an admission that says “I’m guilty, but...” is not in earnest. He wasn’t working for Bain, he was working for Clear Channel, so why else bring them into it except to take the heat off himself? Why did he not talk about the management of Clear Channel who actually fired him?
Again I stand by my opinions. If you want to continue this discussion, please stick to Mr Boyle’s comments. I don’t appreciate, nor do I have time for, these insulting little shots at my intelligence.
