FR not loading -- caused by Java update?

About an hour ago someone complained that FR wasn't fully displaying on his computer. I checked on some longer threads as well as the comments display, and it was working fine for me. I'm using Firefox Beta 23 on Win 7.
Then, I happened to update my Java to Java 7 Release 25. Lo and behold, the partial display bug appeared for me when I checked back into FR.
The same problem exists when I use Chrome, so I presume it's the Java update that's causing the problem. Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

All I know is I didn’t do it.
I was busy baking biscuits for the Society of Disapproving Dobermans.

It is indeed.

Now it’s even worse. This shows you where the net has problem passing stuff along, and that accumulates as loads on certain chokepoints. One of the chokepoints is close to FR, so you can have problems reading FR to different degree depending on where in the world you are.
What sets this stuff off can be at least two things: heavy traffic accruing to google, which does a tipover to the chokepoint near FR as default, oro stuff like the geomagnetic storm we just had.

Lol. Not FR’s fault, and no one attacking. Probably.

I downloaded the newest java because my firefox would “hang” when I opened certain webpages (usually “cheezburger” with Lol cats, since I usually don’t go to Freerepublic until I’ve gotten in a better mood after reading Drudge).
With the new Java, my computer not only froze, but it turned the computer off completely.
I had to do a “system restore” and now it still hangs, but only for about 15 seconds.
So now I use Opera for a lot of my blogging.

I rebooted into Linux, where Im using a different browser and a different version of the Java language, and the problem is indeed there. And, yes I remember the 20 posts workaround. Guess whatit worked.
