Its not exactly a spoiler that Man of Steel, Zach Snyders new Superman movie, culminates in a giant, destructive battle between our hero and his Kryptonian rival, General Zod (who you know is evil because hes played by Michael Shannon), which wreaks havoc on the city of Metropolis.
How much havoc, exactly? Jordan Zakarin of Buzzfeed, being a genius, asked disaster expert Charles Watson and his crew at Watson Technical Consulting andKinetic Analysis Corp. to prepare estimates. Watsons conclusion: Supermans battle killed 129,000 people and injured 1 million, an impact on the scale of the nuclear attack on Nagasaki. It caused $750 billion in physical damage; 9/11, by contrast, caused $55 billion in physical damage. (The damage to Manhattan in The Avengers is estimated at around $160 billion.) It adds up to total damage on the order of $2 trillion:

Oh cooome on! What was so bad about it? I thought it was great, typical roller coaster ride which is what summer movies should be like.
The ending went against everything that Superman represents.
Hope they were all Democrats and “sons of Obama”.
However, just look at the battle as a new form of “urban renewal”. Ask Detroit about it.
I like the original Superboy/Man - “Truth, justice and the American way”.
Under Obama, it is “Lies, Injustice and the Marxist way”.

Exactly ...and The Incredibles was one amazingly intelligent movie. As for Man of Steel, very good movie. I am glad they didn’t try to add ‘humor.’
The should have used special affects. Filming on site can cause collateral damage.
Something is wrong when adults are giving this amount of attention to a movie about a character with supernatural powers.
LOL. True, but Superman is one of those franchises that has been around since 1933. I’m sure there will be other “remakes,” re-boots, and other incarnations in the future.
However, If Hollywood wants to lazily recycle ideas and "reimagine" Superman II and give it the Michael Bay treatment, I DO have a problem with it.
Likewise, I don't mind them cashing in on Mario Puzo's name by adapting another one of his mafia novels to the big screen. But if they decided to make THIS, I'd have a big problem:
