Celebrity chef Paula Deen was today sacked from her job at the Food Network despite begging the public for forgiveness over her past use of racial slurs in a heavily-edited video apology.
A Food Network spokesman issued this statement today: 'Food Network will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month.' It came just hours after she released the 45-second video in which she says: 'I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong I have done. I want to learn and grow from this.
'Inappropriate, hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable. I have made plenty of mistakes along the way but I beg you, my children, my fans, my team, my partners, I beg for your forgiveness. 'Please forgive me for the mistakes that I've made.'
The 66-year-old was due to appear on the Today show this morning to to answer questions from Matt Lauer about the racial slurs - but she pulled out just before the show started. Later that day she announced on her Twitter page that she would be releasing a video statement soon. After the initial video was released another, longer one was then posted on YouTube and was taken down soon after.

BTW, the origin of the word that “cannot be said by non-black people but is used over and over again by blacks” is the Spanish word for black - negro.

I won’t buy her cookbooks, watch her on TV, buy her merchandise or go to her restaurant. Not because of what she said but because she’s a liberal, lying, hypocrite, demonRAT!
BUT NOT FOR LONG. Her sons will get the boot, as well.
So now the Food Network can expect to get a huge bump in it’s viewership from grateful minorities? Right?
This is really just a matter of too many hits. First the type 2 diabetes which should probably have ended her career as a celebrity chef right there. Then the lawsuit for a hostile workplace including sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, and racial harassment. Then she admits to the n-bomb, sure she admits to it 30 years ago, but that’s not time time frame of the lawsuit. There’s only so much bad publicity a TV network will tolerate from their employees.
Nope... Network is talking about canceling their shows too.

Well, plenty of n’s use it, in conversation and literature and especially in music, and I think it is beyond ridiculous that other races can’t.

There really is no reason to offend people randomly with a hateful slur. It’s not that hard to be better than that.
again....her style of cooking...her mannerism...her speech patterns (too southern) and her age are the REAL reason she was fired......don’t kid yourself about the moral superiority of these people....they’re uppity about money, period...
I think I told these kinds of jokes as a 6 year old kid in 1964. My parents caught me using the n word back then and took the belt to my backside.
As a Christian I recognize that we are all descendants of Adam and essentially one human race. It is sinfully prideful to think and speak as if "my race is better than your race." Paula Deen's apology may or may not have been genuine, seeing as how liberals are notoriously racist.
Having said all that, I am not blind to the trashy cultures found in all kinds of people groups. As has been noted by both white and black conservatives, the trash culture within the black community is aided and abetted by the liberal democrat party.
