I think loosening wheelnuts is attempted murder. If a wheel came off, the ones in the car could be killed. If that happens again, don't touch the wheelnuts and go to the police. They can likely get fingerprints off the nuts and hopefully find the boys and charge them with a significant crime. When I read your first post about that, I immediately thought attempted murder. That is like putting a bomb in the car. The bomb will go off just like the wheel would fall off, both causing bodily injury or death.

Yes, it could be, although I think it was more of a spur of the moment maliciousness with out thinking through all the consequences.

I thought the kids should have reported it, but they don’t listen to an old fogy like me.

I did think about going next door and talk to the Grandmother, but since we had no proof, I was reluctant to make her irritated by assuming it was her grandson.

Since then, I have decided that in the future, I’ll just state the facts - xyz happened - did you happen to notice any one in our yard that could have done xyz. If you do happen to notice them, would you please give us a call?

I do think she is a decent person, but the kids these days are freakin’ nuts-it’s like they want to act out every bad thing they ever saw on TV or something.
