Awesome photos!
He told me a story where one time where he had the privilege to Call in a Quick Bombardment from the U.S.S. New Jersey.
He said the Sound was Incredible, even though the ship was like 15 miles away, when those 16 inch shell's impacted the Ridge, it was turned into a sheet of Flame.
I would pay money to have seen that.
Incredible pics! Whether the sniper was killed or just wounded, it seems he got the message.
Is a Viet Kong the little brother of King?
Well, look on the bright side...the good guys won in the end.Thank God that John Friggin Kerry was there in Paris to tell the world of all the despicable war crimes we committed on a daily basis....committed with an enthusiasm and ferocity unseen since the SS marched across Europe.
The usual result was no more sniping because:
1) They got him, or
2) He decided to choose another line of work.
Ah, the memories, hope they smudged the gook.

I believe they were the Second Largest Foreign Group Operating in Vietnam.
Perhaps only the Australians were Larger. (Other than the U.S. of course)
The ROK Marines are some Bad Ass Hombres. “

“Why do you capitalize every other word? Are you perhaps, illiterate?”
Obviously, you were born after The Berlin Wall came down, so I excuse your being taught in a ‘government school’.
The Korean Involvement in The Vietnam War, is not an old wive’s tale, and rightly, should be capitalized, in honor of those Republic of Korea Marines, that fought alongside the American forces in the Vietnam struggle.
They WERE The Second Largest Foreign Group Operating in Vietnam, again, a ‘title’. so it gets capitalized.
The Australians WERE-THE- Largest foreign Operating Force, in Vietnam.
The ROK Marines, had the respect of all those that they fought beside, AND, the Viet C/Kong!
It was the rule: (Excuse me), “Don’t screw with the ROK’s; they WILL screw you up, major!”

Pretty cool pictures here.
