Do you know more about the news than the average American?
Test your knowledge of prominent people and major events in the news, by taking our short 13-question quiz. Then see how you did in comparison with 1,041 randomly sampled adults asked the same questions in a national survey conducted online Jan. 18-24 by the Pew Research Center. The new survey includes a mixture of multiple-choice questions using photographs, maps and symbols.
When you finish, you will be able to compare your News IQ with the average American, as well as with the scores of college graduates and those who didnt attend college; with men and women; and with people your age as well as other ages.

You forgot to add “leaky” between the A and colostomy.
13/13. A snap for any FReeper.
I actually watched a couple of Elizabeth Warrent youtube videos on the myth of the dual income family. I actually thought they were excellent.
But I’d never vote for her.
100%... easy for FReepers.
I got 100%
I got 12 out of 13. I got the graph about unemployment wrong.

11 out of 13
Perfect 13 of 13 here. I also noted they didn’t ask for political affiliation, but the summary article said no difference for Repub/Dem/Indy. Maybe the NSA helped them fill in the blanks.
I was about to make the same joke, so I'll just have to say that I identified Boehner by the tear streaks in his spray on tan.
I was 13 for 13 with 8% in under 2 minutes.
nope, 11 of 13 top 13% :O(
me too, looks like we are the dunces of FR or lot of them lied....:O) 11 of 13
The blue thing is TWITTER. I usually have nothing to do with TWITTER. The test is therefore useless inasmuch as it is culturally biased.
13/13!!!!!
I got 12 out of 13 correct. I missed the one about which one is Elizabeth Warren. I know what she looks like so maybe it was just the pics presented.
Lol
Where can I see how Candy Crowley did on the test?
