Woman and boy live in the main North Island district of Auckland
An 11-year-old New Zealand boy was reported on Saturday to have fathered a child with the 36-year-old mother of a school friend, raising questions on why women cannot be charged with rape in the country.
Counsellors working in the area of child sexual abuse said the case highlighted a lack of attention to women as potential offenders, according to the New Zealand Herald, which reported the story.
The case has also prompted an examination of the law, under which the crime of rape applies only to men.

He was a child molested by an adult. She should fry in a sane world

agreed....and frankly ir should be for the crime of rape
nope because I don’t think any of these young men abused and raped by female teachers (or neighbors or whatever) are lucky in any way
Depends on how the laws are written. At one time in some areas, rape required “penetration” and without getting graphic, that is the opposite of what happened in this case. Then there’s the “Clinton Rule”, about what even constitutes “having sex”. So the laws really need to be clear and (sorry) explicit, and then perpetrators of either gender ought to be prosecuted to the maximum extent. I think it also might make sense if the penalty were proportional to the difference in age, since both young vs old and old vs. young sexual assault implies a power difference. In other words, a 50 year old raping an 11 year old would be more severely punished than an 19 year old raping a 17 year old.

Is this some sort of worldwide epidemic with these older female teachers going for the younger student males.? This happens way too often it seems.
Really must be something in the Water... Eleven? 11?
Hell pubic hair in my days didn’t show up for at least another year ... and that was less than half of us.

Oh for crying out loud. The thread was only posted fifty-three minutes before you went deaf. For all you know, I might have been speaking in parables.
never say never when it comes to laws. laws apply to everyone.
I'm pretty sure it happens. Early puberty happens. I can still remember that shining magical moment when I looked out the car window and I realized that implicit in feminism was the wonder of bra-less University of Texas Co-Eds. I think I was 9.
‘bra-less University of Texas Co-Eds. I think I was 9.’
My family moved to Alaska when I was 7, so I guess I missed out on that educational moment in my life...
you are correct
It's interesting how she got caught. From the article:
The boy's school principal told the New Zealand Herald that he was shocked when the child told him what was happening."You won't be very happy with me," he recalled the boy saying late last year. He said he had been having sex with his friend's mother "and it needs to stop".
We'd have to see pix of the 36-year old to assess that.
Yes, he was! Especially the part where he postulated that the insect-catching scenario would result in a population of dinosaurs, that gradually frayed out their forelegs and tail scales -- and somehow getting flight feathers with a rigid central shaft and hundreds of delicate parallel barbs running down along it. He famously observed that these barbs contained hundreds of tiny barbules to hook them together, making an effective air seal.
Then he packed the family up and moved to Beverleee.
