With tomatoes, I have even used cuttings to start new hybrid plants, but this year I’m just doing heirlooms.

So whats your method of taking tomato cuttings? I'd like to learn that too.

You are welcome. Tomatoes love to make roots at each joint, so just cut off a healthy looking branch, and pull off the lower leaves, leave a few leaves on top and bury the rest of the plant in soil or stick in a jar of water till you get roots, then plant in soil.

You can also use rooting compound to help - follow the directions. Tomatoes root so easily, I have not found it necessary to use rooting powder.
