Mr. Obama swore four or more times to uphold the constitution. Isn’t he a traitor?

Were Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm) a Republican, the media (and others) would be proclaiming Snowden a hero.

He may have sworn not to divulge secrets, but that does not compass crimes that some would like to keep secret.

He did not “just follow orders”

No citizen has an obligation to help an agency violate the Constitution oath or no oath. The oath only matters if it is to support the constitution. If not,, then a patriot will happily violate it and expose the traitors.

This is war. Snowden’s information helps to even the playing field a little. Like many civil wars, when the sides are drawn up there will be many surprises both ways. Is it a coincidence that the chorus of “Traitor!” is being repeated mostly by the same media/pols that are fighting for open borders?

Yet to these same people Bradley Manning was a ‘whistleblower’. Go figger.

The harlot Valerie Jarrett leaks classified intel all day long to the lapdog media. So if this is all it takes to be considered a traitor, then lets start at the top. Indict her now...

Snowden is not half the traitor the entire Obama administration is. Snowden is is pledged to the U.S. Constitution, not Obama.

Snowden should be punished for violating the oath of secrecy he took to do government work. Laws have consequences.

That said, he released info on how our government has overstepped the bounds on what was described to us as how the Patriot Act would handle our privacy. Now that we know this, we must tell our elected representatives to fix the act with some changes.

Interesting that NSA spent what, like $80 billion the past few years, tracking every peep every American citizen makes, seizing EVERY PHONE BILL, in essence, with even more detail such as physical location.

Meanwhile, to get search warrants for every suspicious terrorist organization would simply mean getting a list of every muslim organization, and it’s leadership, and going to a judge. The data would easily fit on a $400 PC. With a $500 PC, you could have the picture of every suspect saved as well.

Well, if our judges and prosecuters could bring themselves to say the words too scary for them to utter without wetting themselves.

Of course, going through the evidence obtained would yield all the paths to terrorists.

Unfortunately, though, it would also include paths back to places that our government does not want to go, ergo, their allergy to the words muslim and islam.

Was the information being obtained in a manner in which it could be used in trial against terrorists? Or would we be left with more “guilty as sin yet free as a bird” pieces of $@%@ like Bill Ayers?

Odd, this is the first time I’ve seen so many people so intent on calling someone a traitor. Bradley Manning did the same thing, and I don’t recall him being denounced as a traitor - except perhaps here.

Number one, this man is a liar. He took an oath to keep the secrets that were shared with him so he could do his job. He said said he would not disclose them, and he lied. Number two, he lied because he thinks he’s smarter and has a higher morality than the rest of us. This guy thinks he has a higher morality, that he can see clearer than other 299-million 999-thousand 999 of us, and therefore he can do what he wants. I say that is the worst form of treason.

These are John Bolton's words describing Snowden. Cannot the same be said for most of our government officials, especially our banana republic dictator?

Sorry, not a traitor. A nurse who tells a patient that they have a possibly still treatable cancer is not a traitor to the doctor she works for who doesn’t want to tell, because it would be embarrassing to him and the patient.

The nurse has the proper perspective. Embarrassment means nothing if your life, or in this case, our nation, is destroyed by those who imagine they are doing these things for out benefit.

The old communist nations proved beyond any doubt that government paranoia, intrusive surveillance, and keeping massive dossiers on all their citizens accomplished nothing of value. Following in their footsteps is madness.

The US has 16 major intelligence agencies, and the last several presidents have allowed, and even encouraged, them to run amok. Enough is enough. Either they are reformed or they become the enemy of the American people, and must be destroyed.

They have become cancer. It is not wrong to point that out.

Megan Kelly invited a ‘criminal profiler’ on her show today in order to analyze Snowden’s body language. It was a perfect illustration of how ‘experts’ etc., have a need to pigeonhole individuals into categories.

In the televised interview; Edward Snowden does not use a teleprompter to describe his concerns; he presents his motivation rationally and thoughtfully. Profiler stated he ‘wanted notoriety and attention’. Should have gone to Jerry Springer or Roger Ailes????

All the talking heads are showing their bias against this ‘high school drop-out’.

Plenty of creative, successful drop-outs are the backbone of this Nation - but Bill Clinton is a Rhodes scholar. I rest my case;)

As far as abandoning his girlfriend and flight to Hong Kong - how would any of us behave once we made such a huge decision to ‘expose corruption’ in the most powerful Government agency?

To face charges of ‘treason’. That would put anyone in a fight or flight mode.

Putin probably wants to meet the girlfriend.
