Edward Snowden, 29, a former CIA technical assistant and current employee of military contractor Booz Allen Hamilton, went to the Guardian and the Washington Post newspapers and spilled national security secrets that he had promised not to divulge. U.S. Ambassador John Bolton puts that effort in the proper perspective:

Something is VERY FISHY!!
Mr. Obama swore four or more times to uphold the constitution. Isn’t he a traitor?
Were Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm) a Republican, the media (and others) would be proclaiming Snowden a hero.
He may have sworn not to divulge secrets, but that does not compass crimes that some would like to keep secret.
He did not “just follow orders”
No citizen has an obligation to help an agency violate the Constitution oath or no oath. The oath only matters if it is to support the constitution. If not,, then a patriot will happily violate it and expose the traitors.
I am always torn between the public service leaks like this produce..much much better than say stealing nuclear secrets and selling them..but on the other hand the letter of the law states this is a high crime. Argue what we will about the morality of this NSA stuff, no one and no court has really said it is unconstitutional. Therefore I suggest a compromise. Grant him partial immunity and allow him to testify, charge him with a misdemeanor with time served and lets get to the bottom of this cess pool.
I don’t know enough yet but I’m feeling, so far, this kid is more hero than traitor. It will be interesting to see what others say. How can someone be a traitor if they’re act enhances 4th and 5th amendment rights while blocking Leviathan ?
Edward Snowden is a nobody, who
1) studied computing at Anne Arundel Community College and didnt complete the course
2) Had a pole dancer for a girl friend
3) Enlisted in the Army and was discharged for breaking both legs in an accident
4) Somehow lands a job as an NSA security guard for a covert facility at the University of Maryland,[
5) Joins the CIA in IT Security
6) He gets stationed in Switzerland with diplomatic cover where is responsible for maintaining network security
7) In May of 2013, he had been working for defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton for less than three months as a system administrator inside the NSA in Hawaii.
8) Fired on June 10 from Booz Allen Hamilton for violations of the firms code of ethics and firm policy.
9) Blows the lid off of the NSA surveillance
10) Runs to Hong Kong
11) Tells his story to the worlds media
12) Putin offers him asylum on June 12
Questions....
How does a NOBODY with NO education and little military background wind up in a sensitive national security job
with access to our grid?
Who brought him into the CIA?
This is all just a little bit too convenient.

I agree, because if he is treated like the Rosenbergs there will be a chilling effect and no one will ever whistleblow again....
This is war. Snowden’s information helps to even the playing field a little. Like many civil wars, when the sides are drawn up there will be many surprises both ways. Is it a coincidence that the chorus of “Traitor!” is being repeated mostly by the same media/pols that are fighting for open borders?
Yet to these same people Bradley Manning was a ‘whistleblower’. Go figger.
The harlot Valerie Jarrett leaks classified intel all day long to the lapdog media. So if this is all it takes to be considered a traitor, then lets start at the top. Indict her now...
Snowden is not half the traitor the entire Obama administration is. Snowden is is pledged to the U.S. Constitution, not Obama.
More to the point, who benefits from was he’s revealed, and who suffers?
WHISTLEBLOWER (Hero)
He exposed Obama’s ILLEGAL activities
This is not about Snowden, it is about Obama
end the police state... repeal the patriot act and FISA
yep...
Why go to a communist country to divulge the secrets, and how do we know that he didn’t speak to the Chineses?
Snowden should be punished for violating the oath of secrecy he took to do government work. Laws have consequences.
That said, he released info on how our government has overstepped the bounds on what was described to us as how the Patriot Act would handle our privacy. Now that we know this, we must tell our elected representatives to fix the act with some changes.
