Our morning drive show reported this morning that the Federal DOT was taking DNA swabs and blood at apparent roadblocks in St Clair Co. Alabama.
Pell City Police chief confirmed that off duty County deputies were used by Fed Dot to man the road blocks.
DNA samples were apparently voluntary, as one witness said she was offered 60 bucks for blood and saliva while another declined blood but was paid 10 bucks for saliva.
Nothing to see here folks, move along. After all it was voluntary"
St Clair Co Sheriffs Dept had nothing to do with the roadblocks. At least one off duty St Clair Co deputy manned the roadblock. Working for DOT. Or so the story goes...
More info.
Why do you want to search my trunk? Because your car is dirty......lol!!
Were the swabs destroyed after the test?
Some people will do anything for free money.
Their goal is to get the DNA of all people. Then index it by social security number. Then claim they didn’t do it. Then claim there is no national indentifier.
Butbutbutbut..It’s a conspiracy theory don’t you know..
Washington Whispers GAO Now Investigating DHS Ammo Purchases
Sounds as if we are already imprisoned virtually. Think of it as “in prism.” Maybe they have an inside joke about what they have been doing.
Dang, Kristinn,
I had just found that and was going to post it..I guess this PRISM thing is really slowing down my internet..
Who in their right mind would let a minimally trained government employee with a badge draw blood from them while in a hurry on a roadside? What about the issue of cross contamination, and the chain of evidence / custody? What if Chuck Manson gets out on quick government sponsored furlough and they confuse his sample with mine?
I don’t know.
Ah. That’s the relevant question then.
The question was if they destroyed the samples ?
If they paid people for their sample, it would not make sense to destroy it, would it?
I guess it may be relevant weather “they” destroyed the samples or not. What is more relevant to me is that this is going on at all.
So, you’re OK with this as long as the samples are destroyed?
Oh heck no. This is right up there with the Common Core database of intrusive information being kept on MINOR CHILDREN.
Creepy. Just plain creepy.
I would love to know how many drivers involved in that roadblock rolled their window down and asked these guys “Are you out of your mind?” I think that would have been my first response. Second resonse would be to roll up the window and drive on.
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I dont add you to the list...
As someone on the sig forum said, (paraphrasing).."it's not what they say the will do with it, it's what they can do with it.."
Do I trust our government to not use that dna to implicate someone in something totally unrelated to the stated purpose of the dna collection?
Maybe something along the lines of:
DNA evidence found at arson fire of black church traced to Pell City Tea Party Member, etc..
I'm in the middle of re-reading Matt Bracken's trilogy. It seems things have leaned forward since he published the first one in 2003.
WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
