We know the statistics, said President Barack Obama, that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out of schools and 20 times more likely to end up in prison. They are more likely to have behavioral problems, or run away from home, or become teenage parents themselves.
The Journal of Research on Adolescence found that even after controlling for varying levels of household income, kids in father-absent homes are more likely to end up in jail. And kids that never had a father in the house are the most likely to wind up behind bars.
Studies back up the link between the explosive growth in government welfarebegun in the 1960sand the increase of out-of-wedlock births.
How do we know that the welfare state creates disincentives that hurt the people we are trying to help? They tell us. In 1985, the Los Angeles Times asked whether poor women often have children to get additional benefits. Most of the non-poor respondents said no. When the same question was asked of the poor, however, 64% said yes.

Hey....we pass out birth control in our junior high schools here. It's putting it on the banana that stumps them.
Where the person who said this should end up.
Still need parents (especially the father in the traditional role) to teach self control. The lack of it among the hordes of welfare victims is a testament to that fact, and it is a great indictment of the “abolish the traditional family” leftists.
The fact that he said it so unabashedly is a case of one’s own words testifying against oneself, to be sure.
It wasn't always like this, only in the last couple of generations has the Black family deteriorated so badly.
MEET THE SMILING DEADBEAT DAD TO 22 KIDS BY 14 WOMEN WHO TENNESSEE TAXPAYERS HELP SUPPORT
They should hand out free condoms at the welfare office.
They do hand out free condoms at some such offices. Doesn’t discourage all the baby-making, though.
They should start making little guillotines with 4 inch holes and have them available at all birth control stations.
Exactly. People have been bitching about this for decades. The blacks simply don’t care.
Well, now, what evil bunch of people inflicted this plague upon minority families?
Actually, having more kids is profitable. If the mother is unmarried, all the better. Meal Tickets.
TANF, SNAP, WICs, Section 8, and EITC Head of Household with dependents. A pretty good living for them.
[P.S. The ‘banana’ joke is funny!]
When I worked for DSS I had a young man helping me on “work experience” I asked him one day how many kids he had...he said “approximately 10” no lie.
The President knows about Fatherless kids, and yet he supports two queers adopting some poor child who will be raised in a sick atmosphere.
It’s a cultural thing.
The man to prove his manhood.
The woman to prove her love. (as an aside from the extra bene aspect)
Most are wanted pregnancies and no amount of prevention education will make a dent in the statistics.
After all they have no worry as to who is going to feed, cloth, educate, tend to the kids medical needs. The fathers have zero responsibility, no legal worries.
The mothers and children are looked upon as victims in need of our compassion and financial support.
Who is going to pay?
Why Uncle Sam, of course. He promised.
BINGO! The whole concept of "shame" has gone the way of the Dodo Bird. The only "shame" now is if one is perceived as being "racist" or "homophobic".
22 kids with 14 different women. The state of Tennessee currently supports all of Shaws children at a total sum of $7,000 per month.

It’s not the culture that the Founding Fathers wanted to bring to the USA. More like Marxist pseudoculture.
Sounds like doubleplusgood duckspeak.
I'm not sure of your age, but dad's role in the 50's was bread winner and protector. I don't ever remember my dad even raising his voice to us.
The problem now is sending the kids to school at age 3 and the teachers. Simply too many cooks in the kitchen.
