Independent efforts are already under way to bring Android support to AMD-based tablets and PCs. AMD also offers the BlueStacks emulator to run Android apps on Windows PCs. ARM, Intel and MIPS chips are already compatible with Android, though most of the native Android code is written for ARM.
Why would, or rather did, AMD voluntarily stay away from a large market? Are they not in the business of earning money?
Still no comments from AMD relative to Linux specifically.
That was one thought I had as well, but how much would MS have had to pay AMD to forego a juicy part of the market?
Corollary: Would that even make sense for MS?
