Vanity / Poll: Changing Free Republic Handle

This topic comes up occassionally, but now is as good a time as any to bring it up again.
I often wonder whether changing your handle on FR matters. I believe in the current environment that changing your handle is about as safe, sound, and secure as changing your password in certain instances.
I also know how well changing a username corrupts the database both for boon and bane.

A newcomers opinion is just as valid as an old-timers. It is certainly valid to him, I'm sure. But what would I know about that....

But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.
__________
Well, well.
Now we have something to work with.
First, I must admit that I can’t express my admiration enough. This is truly awe-inspiring.
(You’re not pulling our cumulative legs, are you?)

Id change mine to M9, but Im pretty sure over time itd be seen as a mistake.Best to stick with the tried and true, plus your current handle has more knockdown power.

Certainly not - he's the greatest hero in Irish Mythology - which is only slightly more glorious than Irish History.
CuChulain the Victorious in Battle
"Cuchulain stirred,
Stared on the horses of the sea, and heard
The cars of battle and his own name cried;
And fought with the invulnerable tide."
"Riamh nár dhruid ó sbairn lann!"
Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

A good rule of thumb is to sit in the balcony if Midnight is going to the same theater you’ll be attending.

My screen name honors a great institution of learning and represents sacred ground, so there's no way that I would change it.

Don’t think I’d ever change my FR nick. I was Windflier at other forums for a long time before I registered here. It was also my nick in a riding club I used to associate with long ago.
As to sign-up date seniority, I just wish I’d signed up when I first started lurking here. I guess that was about 2004 or so. I guess I’ve been hanging around this joint for almost ten years now. I hadn’t even thought of that.

I’ve thought about changing my FR name to Niall, after the hero in writer Colin Wilson’s Spider World Series. But I am too lazy and who cares, actually.
