Ok; just WHAT do we have to do to get G-D to do the saving?
Of course not.
Just WHERE is an established NOAHIDE court?
Can he assume any shape he wants?
Why not?
But what about the inverse, is God powerful enough to take human form and dwell among us.
If he can make man...
Sincere repentance. No human sacrifices,no blood. Just sincere repentance. G-d is the ONLY savior.
G-d never, ever took human form. He did not change His mind on the subject.
Since there is a lot of scriptural evidence I want to direct you to www.messiahtruth.yuku.com. There’s too much for me to write and the individuals on the site are highly educated about Judaism and Christianity along with Greek and Hebrew.
But he could if he wanted to, correct?
I have viewed the Jewish information before it has merit as does Christian information. It will all boil down to what one sees as God’s purpose in sending a Messiah. As Christians we see Christ less as one carrying on tradition and more as a game changer in the relationship between God and his creation man.
We are not to have an intermediary between G-d and ourselves.
The Torah is eternal and unchangeable. Christianity has changed the Torah and Jesus did not obey Jewish Law.
When G-d sends the fully human messiah, who will not be worshipped, there will be immense changes that have yet to happen. Jesus did not fulfill any of the requirements.
Who said anything about an intermediary. You argument is that God did not become man, Christians know that he did, so there is no intermediary.
And you are correct, Jesus did not obey Jewish law, that was the point...
As far as changing and requirements, I beg to differ...
As I have stated before, the Torah is binding and eternal and is not to be changed. Also, Jesus is used as a intermediary to get to G-d,correct?
Perhaps one of the biggest issues is that he never claimed to be G-d. This idea was thought up at the Councils of Nicea and Constantinople. Weren't the Gospels written at least 40 years after Jesus' death? The contradictions of Matthew,Mark,Luke and John are astounding. Who do you believe?
The Torah was written centuries ago and was never changed.
The Christian “Old Testament” is not the same because it has been changed. Nowhere in the Hebrew Scriptures does it say that G-d is a man or that Jesus is the prophesied messiah and savior. Nowhere does it say that the only repentance is through blood.
The Jews’ scriptures came long before the Christian bible. It was the Christians who went ahead and rewrote the Tanach.
“The Christian Old Testament is not the same because it has been changed. “
Sorry, but I’ve read the Jewish Publication translation of the Old Testament. The only difference is in that one verse, they just don’t translate the “Mighty God, Prince of Peace, Wonderful, Counselor, Eternal Father” etc, they leave it in Hebrew, based on the silly premise that it’s just one really long name. Kind of like Joseph, or Israel, except several times the size.
I believe in Jesus.
Yes God fulfilled the law and went beyond, bringing forgiveness to all who will come and believe in him. Again that was the point.
As far a Jesus never claiming to be God, well...
John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, I and My Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me? The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.
There are others of course. Of course if you feel there are contradictions then it matters little what the Word says...
I confess Christ as my Lord and Savior also.
Thanks for that definitive verse.
It is a rather strong one.
I like the very last part, it makes my point:
“but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”
As long as it is backwards in ones mind yes it is hard to grasp and yes it is blasphamey, but it is clear, it was not a man who makest himself God, but God who came to us as a man in the flesh and dwelt among us.
That is the true beauty of the message...
The Torah is the only word of G-d
It is not to be changed nor added to. This is what Christianity has done which is strictly forbidden.
Can you explain the major differences between what Matthew,Mark,Luke and John say about the crucifixion and the resurrection? Why do they contradict each other?
Can you SHOW me where this is written down; or is it passed between adherents orally?
We allow cutting and pasting here.
You have claimed this before.
SHOW me that changes you say have occurred.
