No offense to cat lovers here, but I kill every cat that comes around because my wife has an extremely bad cat allergy.

The folklore of “Old Maid’s Day”, comes 36 days after May Day, (in the way-before-Obama-and-Communist sense), when folks would “go a-Mayin’ in the heather”. The inference being of such things as lunar cycles and ‘the fairer sex’, as they used to say. So, by day 36-plus from May Day, “something” should have happened, ergo Old Maid’s Day.
It would be rather difficult for me to hug my kitty, as I put her down and buried her in her favourite outdoor spot yesterday afternoon.
It’s a nice idea, but somewhat impractical now.
