Marshall University Journalism Professor Christopher Swindell, who wrote in a recent commentary that the National Rifle Association (NRA) was guilty of treason and worthy of the firing squad, is apologizing for his remarks, telling CNSNews.com on Monday that he was waaayyy too angry to comment on gun safety and that he had learned that American freedom is best served with an armed populace.
In a May 30 commentary published in The Charleston Gazette, Swindell had harshly criticized the NRA and expressed disappointment in Congress failure to pass some form of expanded background check legislation.

And I bet if he were on the firing squad, he would be the first and the last to be pulling the trigger.

Respectfully, this apology is hard to take seriously, considering the detail and vitriol contained in his attack. Yup - this doesn't quite qualify for an "Oops, I mis-spoke" retraction. He simply realized, based on the comments he received in response, that the threatened use of U.S. military armor and air power against civilians wasn't very smart.
Indeed, some responders seemed to relish the challenge. Swindell realized that he'd just dared some very capable rifleman to give him a high-velocity enema.

BS.
He doesn’t believe it.
There’s years of online evidence of what he really thinks.
If anything, this embarrassment will make him even more of a Communist than before.
Just wait ‘til it blows over.
He’ll be running his mouth again in no time.

Most statists are basically p*$$ycats and will cave, if they are confronted and if their liberal premises are challenged.

Amazing what happens to a professor when someone 6'4 and 240 pounds comes up to him in the dead of night and threatens to pound the daylight out of you.
Not saying it happened only speculating.

He learned about guaranteeing freedom with an armed populace in two days? What he never heard of Tiananmen Square before?

Yup, its funny how people take a whole new look at life when life jumps up and bites their a$$.
This guy probably got flamed to the extreme, called the cops, cops said: “Yo! Dude! nuthin we can do till it happens, you’re on yer own, someone breaks in yer house, call 911. We can be there in about 5 minutes.”
Like I said, reality hits like a ton of bricks. Life, real life, sinks in with a vengeance.

Most statists are basically p*$$ycats and will cave, if they are confronted and if their liberal premises are challenged. I have to respectfully disagree. A true statist will NOT engage your argument. Instead the flea bag will insult you, call you all kinds of names, pull great big lies about you out his a$$ and throw all kinds of fartgas in your direction.
Result? Low brow, low IQ, low info types will LOVE the belligerent assault on you, (reality TV is popular because the low brow types love to watch conflict) and never know that you knocked out the statist in the first 4 seconds of the first round.
YOU GOTTA UNNERSTAN WHAT YOU ARE UP AGAINST!
Not a criticism, just an observation.
