I need to know if this tin wrapped around the tree is going to attract lightening.
I put it up so the cats cannot climb it. It is a VERY tall palm tree. I plan on putting another one around the tree next to it....unless it draws lightening. Can someone tell me if it does?

The metal will give a less-resistive conduit from the top part of the tree to the trunk, but it will not attract more lightning. But hopefully, the portable lightning rods these Obama supporters are sporting will.

There are plastic cones designed to keep squirrels out of trees that would also work for cats.

Car had over 100,000 miles, but, I had, for the first time in my life, took collision off of it 6 months prior. Collision and comprehension go together I found out....the hard way. :(
I lost about $4,000 blue book.

I wanted that tree gone, but the landscaping company said it was too tall and too many wires...so dying is a good thing. Suggest you contact a company that specializes in tree removal.
Also suggest you check with your town and/or homeowner assoc regarding removing the tree. Have a friend who was fined for removing a pine tree in her backyard.

Ouch; sorry to hear that, but how would you even know that lightening incident would even happen? Freak incident.
Was it in your driveway? Did you try to claim it under homeowner’s insurance? Probably wouldn’t go thru, if you did.

It happened where I work...in their parking lot. We all heard the lightening hit something....little did I know it was my car.
