“... or preserve one of your homegrown feasts.”

I don’t know how to “preserve” food of any kind in any way and I’m not learning to can with a pressure cooker as those are made for bombs, not canning. I’m not doing glass jars and scalding and cutting and packing jars and blowing them up in a pressure cooker - I am not doing that.

I don’t know how to dehydrate food and don’t know if that will work in southeast Texas where it is 101-107 and humid in the summer. If I could preserve that way, I would.

I use my dehydrator all the time. Some stuff needs to be blanched before dehydrating. You can buy a countertop electric dehydrator pretty inexpensively.

I also do a lot of canning every year.
