Watching re-runs I used to point out to my kids how clean L.A. was back when they shot Adam-12.
They seemed to resent the fact.

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both)

Bobby Troop was also a Marine Corp officer.
We all know that one of Webb's best movies was The DI.

How about . . . .
none? Leave the originals the hell alone, because every time someone remakes one it's an unmitigatable disaster. (While I'm at it, if there's any justice Steve Martin should be hung in the public square for what he did to
The Pink Panther.)
Come to think of it, I still think it wasn't that big a deal to bring Gunsmoke to television. The television show was decent, I enjoy watching some of it even now, but the original radio show was genuinely great and, whenever the television version re-visited the radio scripts (which was quite frequently), something came missing. (For that matter, I also always thought William Conrad's Dillon on radio was a lot more human than James Arness's on television . . .)

IIRC it was called College Bowl
You're thinking of
The General Electric College Bowl. Which, among other things, made a television star out of Allen Ludden . . . I grew up with that show, followed by
The Twentieth Century (with Walter Cronkite), playing on the tube Sunday late afternoons on WCBS, New York, during dinner . . .

P-Dogg: Keri Russell. Nice selection...she’s just stunning to me. You could put her in a film about kitty litter and I’d watch it.
I’d like to see the Italian film “Mediterrraneo” FINALLY released on DVD for the North American market.

MA Congressional race: This is the district I live in. Dryer lint running with a “D” by it’s name would win the race against any Republican. Pete is right: the seat is unwinnable by the GOP in the general.

Hmm...Space 1999. It would be nice to see a speculative fiction series of the far, far future. And purple-haired babes. Them too.

Remake the 1970 series
The Immortal, originally starring Christopher George.
In the series, George plays Ben Richards, a man who is immune to all known viruses and diseases, and is being chased by a billionaire who wants his blood as a youth serum.
In the remake, the hero's blood contains a cure for AIDS, and a billionaire with AIDS is chasing him. Also, an unscrupulous government agency wants his blood so it can curry favor with the gay community, and announce a cure for AIDS that would secure the ruling party's control of government for decades.
So Ben Richards runs from town to town, always staying one jump ahead of his hunters.

One show I DO NOT want to see re-made is the Brady Bunch. My older sister loved watching that crap and made me watch it too we were growing up. EGADS! One of the worst shows ever. And dont get me started on A Very Brady Christmas. Not even a reboot of the Brady Bunch Variety Hour?

SOMETHING has to get these song and dance competition shows off the air!

Jason Lee would make a very fine Dr. Johnny Fever, now that you mention it. Except no modern day radio station actually employs eight people.

What does sort of work are "behind the scenes" dramas that show what was "really" going on when the show was made. I'm not saying that they're high art, but I'd actually watch Growing Up Brady or The David Cassidy Story or And The Beat Goes On: The Sonny And Cher Story or Call Me Anna: The Patty Duke Story before I'd watch a remake -- or any of the original series. Well, I'd sort of half watch, leave the show on while I do other stuff.

They did one about the casting of the Gilligan’s Island tv show and it had cameos by the surviving original cast.
