COPS looking for a missing man were shocked to find him dead in his home surrounded by over FORTY giant snakes.
Many of the reptiles, including a 30ft anaconda and four 35ft pythons, were slithering free around the decomposing body when police entered snake fan Heiko Rieder's apartment in Straubing, Germany.
A fire service spokesman said: "At least one was as thick as a human thigh."

non poison snakes are lovely...if your lucky enough to have one take up living in your flower garden its a sign of good luck..it helps if you put a snake house in the garden...not slimy at all. Felt real bad when I gutted one with the weed wacker. Tall grass, was carefull with weed wacker after that...

I worked in a pet shop for 8 1/2 yrs. and a regular customer who was a snake lover came in and had a styrofoam box with him. He asked me to tell him what kind of snake was in the pillow case. I opened the container, loosened the rope holding the pillow case shut, opened it and came face-to-face with a Monocle Cobra. It hissed like a cat and before it could strike I closed the bag, put it back in the box and told him to get the he** out of the store. I'm female but I wanted to slap him senseless. I told him one day they were going to find him dead. He laughed. Two weeks later they found him dead in his home with a diamondback rattler running the house.

When I was growing up on the farm, it was my job to gather the eggs. Reached inside a nest one morning and instead of the eggs I grabbed hold of a snake who had been eating the eggs. Last time I ever went in the chicken coop.
My kids always laughed at me when we would go to the zoo and I absolutely would not go into the reptile house with them.

My aunt, who is now about 88, grew up having to collect the eggs in the hen house. She was also deathly afraid of snakes after having to face that risk daily when she was a child.

“At least one was as thick as a human thigh.”
Um, perhaps because it had consumed a human thigh? Just perhaps?

I dunno for sure....that's pretty big. A report I read this week had a FL man who caught a record python that was 18' 8" .

Not for me. I hate snakes. LOL
I knew an old cowboy who died from about 6 rattle snake bites. He was drunk and fell asleep in an old cabin one night and they came out of the floor boards.
