Kanye West stopped at 11th hour from projecting music video "New Slaves" on the side of the Alamo

Authorities in Texas have shut down Kanye West's attempt to project his controversial new video on the walls of the The Alamo - and slammed the rapper as being 'disrespectful.'

The incident came just days after the same thing happened at a Houston venue.

More than 500 fans turned up on Sunday night to see the video 'New Slaves' after the event at the historic site was advertised on his official website.

But officials said no permit had been issued for the video projection and the event in San Antonio did not take place.

This marks the second time that Kanye's guerrilla-style promotion campaign has been vetoed by authorities: on Friday, his planned projection onto the Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas, was shut down by local police.

"I wish Ozzy Osbourne would bite Kanye West’s head off!"

LOL!!! A perfect quote to end the night.

In fact, I literally just let my dog bite the head off of a Rat that had the gall to enter my home and try to eat my dog's food (typical democRat). An old, rusty Victor trap did the job. Used a rubber band to secure the pepperoni to the tongue - and SNAP!

And I’m sure MLK would approve of KW’s pornographic, hate-filled, profanity filled, vomit (NOT). Regardless of what one might think of MLK, he was a FAR better man than Kanye West.

Years ago, Democrats bought their slaves with their own money.

Today, Democrats buy their slaves with taxpayer money.

We must all be reminded that Kanye is just a new slave - dressed in Armani sweater vests, Gucci sunglasses, and holding a Louis Vuitton manpurse.

His “guerilla-style” street theater is nothing but a publicity stunt. He doesn’t secure permission from the venues he attempts to “crash the party” and screen his video at.

Does he coordinate adequate security for these events?

The plugged in flash mob crowd is going to starf&&& and take pictures/videos except no one in charge is asked if it’d be alright.

I tried digging up details on the halted Rothko Chapel event and cannot find any evidence that the Menil Foundation knew anything about it in advance.

Yet this publicity stunt in Houston has gotten this overrated douchebag global press (Rollingstone.com, HuffingtonPost, Infowars, Mail & Guardian in Zaire, Billboard, 143 news listings on google).

Ozzy p!ssed off Henry Ciscneros (corrupt Democrat politician, then mayor of San Antonio and later Clintonista). Cisneros took it upon himself to ban heavy metal music and rap from civic owned venues. Yet it persists that Republicans are the “small minded persons burning records and blacklisting performers”.

Al Gore and his wife Tipper “burned” records too. All in a bid for national exposure so he could run for the White House in 1988.

Such persons are sleaze. They were NOT honest about their outrage. That moral stance was long abandoned as he sought out endorsements from those same celebs (and the content got only more vile).

So now I’m supposed to believe that Al Gore is concerned about over consumption of the Earth’s resources as he lives in his mansion, jetting about, raking in hundreds of millions of dollars? Really?

If a riot breaks out as a result of Kanye’s video, will Mr. Obama blame him and his video for the crowd’s actions as he did in Libya?

Kanye West made a name for himself along with some money, from sampling the work of actual artist and musician, Ray Charles.

Apparently never the most stable of individuals, Mr. West let this one success go to his head and now deems himself an experimental, cutting edge artiste. Watching the evolution of his televised appearances and videos is painful and embarrassing for me as an art school grad, he touches upon every shopworn artsy stereotype I saw while in school decades ago, and is actually incapable of any hint of originality. I expect a black version of Andy Warhol's The Factory to pop up any day now, sloppy misregistered silkscreens of some dumb stereotype, Colt 45 cans or something. It's just ... bad.

It really, really is that bad. Derivative, juvenile, strained, culturally illiterate ... he's a trainwreck of colossal pretense, based upon nothing. He has nothing to say. He just doesn't. I've been a fan of old school rap, I can separate the message from my approval or the lack of it, and enjoy a well turned phrase regardless of source. But, zilch. Complete dud.

The man is just playing house until the money runs out. MC Hammer will ultimately prove to have more staying power. Kanye West is just a more grating, less melodious Milli Vanilli.

He'd have been hooted off the stage and out of the public eye long before now if it weren't for political correctness. Can somebody just break out the Apollo Theater stage hook, please?

Of course not. He'll blame it on the 'racist, bigoted, homophobic', Tea Party.

Thanks for the rundown on Kanye West. I’ve never heard any of his ‘music’, but figured he was a no account, untalented hack.
