Doggie ping?
What exactly is a therapy dog? Are they really legitimate or just a scam?
Here’s a link to an earlier report:
At the risk of sounding like an arrogant prick, she left the dog inside a car while she went shopping. I don’t know what the current temperatures are in Indiana, but it’s getting warmer. The poor thing probably managed to exit the car on its own to escape the heat. Even with the windows cracked, it gets hot inside a parked car.
I don’t know what you have heard but therapy dogs are real. They are dogs (and owners) who have been certified to be gentle and non aggressive. They go to convalescent homes, hospitals, etc. and visit with the people who are stuck there for weeks, months or the rest of their lives (hospice). One of my dogs is a certified therapy dog with Faithful Paws in Houston. Our visits cheer people up and we receive lots of “thank you’s” for our visits, both from patients and staff.
Glad to hear she got him back but have to wonder how long she left him in the car.

When my mother in law had a stroke Noiree would jump up on her lap and just let get pet her as long as she wanted. When Gert began PT Noiree would walk right next to her almost like she was guarding a puppy.
It got so that every time we visited her we had to take the dog because that was the first thing she asked about.
Verga, you know I was just ragging you a bit, eh?
I used to raise Shih Tzus and love them a lot. They are great dogs. I did find that mine were all quite independent in that they dictated when they would play or interact with us. Still, they were wonderful friends. My last one passed when she was just short of 20 years old.
