Andy Kaufman fans believe he's ALIVE after photos turn up showing mystery man in New Mexico 27 years after comedian's sudden 'death'
In a tale no different from the likes of Elvis Presley sightings or Bigfoot, late comedy entertainer Andy Kaufman is said to be alive and living well in New Mexico.
Kaufman, whose abrupt cancer death in May of 1984 left fans, friends and foes alike wondering if it were all an act even at his funeral, would be 64-years old if alive today. For some, mysterious photos taken of a grey-haired man in Albuquerque suggest he

“Andy, are you goofing on Elvis?”
ping
WOW. Has it really been 27 years since he passed?! Sure doesn’t seem like it...
“Here I come to save the day”!
The rise of Zombie Kaufman.
All shall tremble in his wake.
Andy Kaufman has fans?
29 years actually. He died in 1984.
I found very little if anything funny about him
yes! both of them noticed this
I never cared for Andy Kaufman’s style of humor (if you could call it that.) I will say this, however: I thought Jim Carrey did a brilliant job portraying Andy Kaufman in the movie “Man On The Moon.”
He has a strong cult following. Especially among other comedians.
The thing that makes this different than Elvis sightings is that Kaufmann was notorious for playing tricks on his audiences. In a way, it’s very believable that he could have faked his own death, but part of me wonders just how long he’d carry out the “joke” before revealing it was all an act.
“Andy Kaufman has fans?”

He died from a Jerry Lawler pile driver.
it would be the funniest thing he ever did if he were to suddenly re-appear and say “I thought i was dead too, it turns out I was just in Albuquerque”
That whole Andy Kaufman/Jerry Lawler thing was weird.
Which shows you he wasn’t/isn’t very smart. Kind of like sticking your head into a lion’s mouth when he hasn’t eating in a very long time. There are going to be consequences.
I always believed it was a stunt. We’ll see. Coincidentally, I happened to be in NM when his “death” was announced, FWIW (not much!)
