Nixon was probably the worst president this nation ever had and ever will have.

Add to his list of sins price controls and he made the decision to finance the welfare state rather than fight it. Nixon ultimately led us to where we are today with massive entitlements and deficit spending gone over the cliff.

Another footnote is that he killed human space exploration in favor of entitlements. Had that not been done, humanity might own the solar system and the resulting economic boom would have been bigger than that brought by computing.

Instead he gave us a permanent welfare class to be a reliable democratic base. He may have doomed this nation in doing so.

And then there was Nixon’s EPA.

What solar system are you from? Last I read entitlements were a legislative initiative, and to give you a history lesson The Senate and House were in democratic control during Nixon's entire presidency. I thought Freepers were smarter than this. I guess you are an exception.

Yes, many of our issues began under Nixon. The Department of Education, EPA, and more. Nixon has really good at foreign policy. Beyond that, he did us few favors.

At the very least, he has to get behind Obama, Carter, and LBJ. Probably Woodrow Wilson too.

While we are at it, I would say Abraham Lincoln for being a dictator.
