The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Just had a vision of my pyr jumping in my lap and disfiguring me for life...
I think it is worth pointing out a difference between censorship and applying standards of content. If the government tells the network or the provider or the producers what content is permissable and what is not, that is censorship. If on the other hand, the network management refuses to broadcast something that a particular advertiser or producer or whoever wants to put on the air, then that is not censorship but rather the OWNER applying the OWNER'S standards. As consumers -- whose viewership or non-viewership impacts the owner's revenue -- we certainly have the right to try to influence the owners of the network to either tighten or relax their content standards, and we have the right to respond to how they choose to act. If more of the viewers convince they network owners that they want to see more T&A and other risque content then those of us who object are free to find another channel. If we convince the owners to reject such content and broadcast more "wholesome" content, then the Ted and Family Guy fans are also welcome to seek another channel for their viewing pleasure.
My dad adores his shih tzu. I think they are cats in dog suits. But cute.
Everyone I know who has shih tzus LOVES them dearly.
Speaking of offensive, the Gosnell verdict is supposedly in.
And thanks for the offer on FB but we'll be doing the wedding ceremony up here.
Rants are fine, and soapboxes are good-rational civil discussion is how people come together and learn from each other, and has become a near-lost art.
Shunning-extreme peer pressure-is not really censorship, but it is certainly the one thing that curbs rudeness, and I heartily approve of that-tantrums, lashing out, etc don’t belong in public, and the perpetrators deserve a shunning, big time...
I turn my back and walk away from people of any age who are acting out in public, after giving them a f*** you and the horse you rode in in look, and I encourage others to do so, as well-negative behavior should not be rewarded.
Great. Now this thread is like Twitter, where we need to infer the news of the day from the comments of others.
Getting married, I presume?
Yup.
That is a hell of a deal-I paid $450 for Husky girl over 14 years ago, and we even had to go to Snohomish to pick her up...
Congratulations! We look forward to your happiness.
I think two of my cats are bigger than a Shih Tsu at 14 and 22 lbs-Midget girl is 5 lbs, so she is smaller than one of the little dogs.
Gosnell is guilty of 3 counts of murder one, and one of involuntary manslaughter...
only bc he’s a jack@$$ and won’t say so straight out, being coy as a dang schoolgirl about it!!!! at least he won’t be an old maid!!!
Thanks!
DH says we are making a road trip. YEAH! Not too far, but it’s a road trip.
Parents are 13 lbs. Our shih tzu was the runt of the litter. They didn’t think she would live...she grew to be HUGE. I am hoping for a smaller one. Roxie was a good 15 lbs.
He’s been engaged for awhile it seems. Just got around to changing his status on FB. I jumped on it this morning when I saw. She is a lovely young woman, and he is being shy about it. LOL
So that means you’re getting the puppy? Great!
The smallest dog I’ve ever had was my Aussie, who weighed 44 lbs. The others have been between 65 and around 100 lbs. I’m partial to large dogs-guard breeds in particular-I buy female pups, because I’ve found them to be more gentle and tolerant of kids and small pets.
I should have shot down to the pet store to get a crate. We just gave ours to our niece. It was too big anyway.
