NBC Cancels 'The New Normal'

The New Normal has been canceled after one season at NBC.

The semi-autobiographical comedy from Glee's Ryan Murphy and Ali Adler marked Murphy's first half-hour comedy and aired as part of NBC's Tuesday comedy block. Boosted by The Voice, the Justin Bartha-Andrew Rannells starrer about a gay couple starting a family earned a full-season order in October despite early protests from conservative watchdog groups.

I was absent from pinging for quite a while - kept getting sick this winter, and just too too busy, and also got burned out from the hades of bad news.

The spin is “SOOOOOO MANY GLBT SHOWS WERE CANCELLED!!!!!” Well, if you had a HUGELY GREATER NUMBER of gay shows pushed at us this year, mathematically...more are going to be cancelled. I WISH the math showed the viewing public wising up, but it is just in the numbers.

Truth is, more and more people are getting sick of perversion shoved in their faces. Look what happened to Penneys. They got Ellen Degenerate as a spokeshole, then photos of perverts as “families”, and then their sales tanked.

Speaking of Bravo, tonight I was watching this show about newlyweds. It starts off following 4 couples before their weddings. One of the couples is a pair of gay guys with a 16 year age difference. They showed them dancing and the one making a comment about the other one getting aroused, comments were made about them having sex later that night, and they later showed them in bed together. The TV went off.
