A teacher was arrested after she allegedly raped a boy in her classroom after he handed in a test.

The high school teacher in New Mexico is accused of raping her male student in her classroom.

Jennifer Vigil, 31, was arrested Tuesday after the student told police he was forced into having sex with his teacher at the Pojoaque Valley High School in Santa Fe. Vigil maintains that the sex was consensual, but the student disagreed he claimed that the teacher forced him to have sex after she locked the door of the classroom and he was unable to leave.

According to the student, his teacher performed oral sex on him. The student took a picture of the sex act with his cellphone. He only consented to sex because Vigil locked the doors and he felt pressured into doing so, according to police. Vigil apparently claims the student had requested sexual favors, and that he is an adult by law.

Exactly. I have zero sympathy for this woman. She is there to teach kids, not have sex with them. Did the boy go willingly or was he raped? Who cares—that’s not the point. She should face charges because she is a teacher having sex with a student, period.

Yeah, same here. I thought my teachers, especially the young ones, looked pretty cute, but with some common sense, especially the fact that they were married women, and I had no clue as to what the husband would think, I decided, yeah, I am not going to bother with the teacher.

And to this effect I wonder, I don’t normally associate women with raping men, but if some woman is violently beating the crap out of you just to make you have sex with her, how are you supposed to be in condition to take pictures of yourself and her getting it on?

It really should not matter whether or not the student (male or female—i had a couple of hot male teachers and coaches in high school who i fantacized about) is traumatized... it is simply a matter of what is appropriate... a teacher should not have sex with a student... if he is of age, she could have just waited until the school year wss over... no risk of losing her job or being arrested... poor judgment on her part...

The term “rape” was removed from the Canadian Criminal Code years ago and replaced with “sexual assault”, precisely because rape was a more limited term requiring evidence of penetration. The teacher is clearly guilty of misconduct warranting dismissal. Whether she has actually breached a state law will be determined by the courts, as every state seems to have differently worded criminal law provisions.
