POMONA (CBSLA.com) Authorities in Pomona are hoping the public can tell them how a very drunk shooting victim got wounded.
Tommy Dominquez, 41, was shot once in the lower extremities but has been unable to tell investigators how he was hurt.
Officials say Dominquez will survive his gunshot wound and believe he was possibly shot in front of a bar.
Authorities got a call just after 1:30 a.m. from Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center where Dominguez was taken by private vehicle.
Officials went to the alleged scene of the shooting the 1200 block of East Missing Boulevard and found shell casings in front of a bar.

I had a friend in college who had his hand severely stomped by a very angry person. Many broken bones. He had no idea how it happened.

He drank less heavily after that, so he learned something.

We’ll just have to wonder, since they neglected to say.

shot once in the lower extremities
Sound like prior to being shot his brain had dropped down between his legs which would of course effect ones memory.

***He had no idea how it happened.***
I had a friend in the USAF who had a nice chrome plated revolver in perfect condition.
Coming back from leave his pistol was scratched and scraped something awful. He could not remember what happened to it, except that he gotten drunk. When he sobered up it was all scratched up.
Several months later he got drunk and suddenly remembered, and told us how he went fishing, got drunk, shot his pistol till empty, then realized he was so drunk he could not find his way home, fell in the creek, lost his fish and fishing pole, went to an old Colored man’s house and asked if one of them could help him home.
They realized he was drunk and was a MEAN drunk! so they backed away from him. He got mad pulled his gun and ..snap,snap,snap. Empty.
The old man’s daughter then ran in the house and called the sheriff who stopped him in the field and asked him to give up the pistol. Instead he threw the pistol down in the Georgia clay and that is how it got all scratched up.
So now we knew.
When he sobered up, he again could not remember what happened.
Then there was my mother-in-law who told us how she lost her perfect teeth, but that is another story.

Craziest thing I ever saw occurred in college. Guy had a beautiful new Z-28, he and his girlfriend were quite inebriated, he refused to drive. Girlfriend was infuriated by this, snatched his keys away from him, ran and jumped in the car, burned rubber all the way across the parking lot and was still burning rubber after nailing a metal street lamp post head on. At that point we suspected something more than alcohol because she clearly didn’t feel a thing, and really didn’t associate the ruined car, still smoking, with anything she’d done. She didn’t remember it the next day either and accused her boyfriend of trying to blame her for totalling his car. “Luckily” for him it happened in front of nearly a hundred people, so that didn’t fly. The fool eventually married her. Wonder how that turned out, lol?

good for him then...
