Hmmm...I've got critter problems. For the past week and a half, I've found big holes grubbed out in the hoophouse. I nearly lost all of my okra. I also lost two ducks to predators. I think it's a skunk, but I haven't found any spoor yet.
Deer have also been trying the get through the cages around my stone fruit and apple trees.
I may have to institute a different type of pest control this year.

I suggest a Walther pellet handgun without blowback (or get it in rifle form). I got one to take out squirrels and birds if I had to do that to keep my growing food. Unless it a SHTF type of thing, I'll use netting and row cover instead of killing them. But if it is them or me and I need that food, they are going to die.

Or, if you are in the country, use a 22 lr to take out the skunk. I’m in town so got the pellet gun to take out varmits without making much noise.

Sounds like it. We kinda tolerate the squirrels, cause the grandkids like to watch them, and they have become smart enough to steal food from live traps without tripping them.
Also, they could make a good stew if meat prices get too high.LOL
