Obama nominee:Most whites won’t vote for a black;should be excluded from ‘democratic process’

Obama’s pick to head the Federal Housing Finance Agency once said that a “majority of white voters” would never vote for a black candidate and that they should be excluded from “the democratic process.”

The White House announced Wednesday that Obama will nominate Democratic North Carolina Congressman Mel Watt to take over the FHFA, which regulates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the country’s government sponsored mortgage companies.

Watt, the former chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, has in the past accused white Americans of racism.

“There would be a substantial majority of white voters who would say that under no circumstances would they vote for an African American candidate,” Watt said Oct. 14, 2005 during a Washington hearing held by the National Commission on the Voting Rights Act.

The Voting Rights Act should be expanded to “adjust districts to take [racially motivated voting] into account,” Watts said.

Such voters “need to be factored out of the equation,” Watt said, because “I’ve got no use for them in the democratic process.”

According to a contemporaneous report of the hearing published by the Cybercast News Service, Watt said that black voters — unlike whites — don’t have “an absolute commitment” to voting for a candidate based on race.

Zanu PF expands it's grip on federal powers I see.

What could possibly go wrong with Watts heading up a federal agency responsible for billions of dollars every year?

How long till the Obamahouse is included with a free Obamaphone?

Watt said that black voters — unlike whites — don’t have “an absolute commitment” to voting for a candidate based on race.

Fully 96 percent of black voters supported Obama and constituted 13 percent of the electorate, a 2-percentage-point rise in their national turnout... A stunning 54 percent of young white voters supported Obama, compared with 44 percent who went for McCain, the senator from Arizona.

The demographics show that Watt is a liar, or is full of so much stuff he is blind.

I wonder how Tim Scott was elected in SC-1 in 2010?

Or for that matter, how was his boss, Mr. Obama elected? Blacks only make up 13% of the population.

This guy is a complete racist, and has no business being in any position of governmental authority.

Well his confirmation proceedings will be must see TV! I hope the republicans go after him in a big way. This is outrageous.

The idiot Republicans will whine and maybe delay the vote for a couple of days then they will vote him in to the position.

That is their MO. They are traitors to our Country and actually think if they make noise for a few days we will not see or remember they vote for treason after.

Now, how many blacks would vote for a white candidate if a black is running?

That's easy. If the white candidate is a Dem, and the black candidate is a Republican, they'll vote for the white candidate in a heartbeat.

The Republican is obviously a self-loathing traitor to his race, and far worse than any white Democrat.

The claim that most whites would not vote for a black and therefore the whites must be excluded is unproven speculation. It does not explain why Cong. Alan West (R. Florida) could get elected.

However, in the two most recent presidential elections, about 90% of blacks wouldn’t vote for a white. Can we make the racial claim apply in reverse, to the effect that blacks should then be excluded from ‘democratic process’?

Somehow I don’t think that logic has anything to do with this story. It is just liberal racism on paraade.

Such voters “need to be factored out of the equation,” Watt said, because “I’ve got no use for them in the democratic process.”

Hmm. Didn't Adolf Hitler say something similar about the Jewish People?

Somehow, a black "congressman" can say such things about white people with impunity, but if I said "black need to be factored out of the voting equation because I've no use for them in the democratic process" I'd be labeled a racist (and worse.)

So here, I'll say it: Blacks that vote ONLY FOR BLACKS need to be factored out of the equation. I've no such use FOR THEM!"

The claim that most whites would not vote for a black and therefore the whites must be excluded is unproven speculation.

And yet, there is solid, substantiated, empyrical proof that Blacks only vote for Blacks. 99% of blacks voted for Obama in 2008. 97% voted for Obama in 2012.

That's RACISM. That means 97% (or better) of blacks should be factored out of the equation, because there's no such use for that type of thinking in the democratic process (to borrow a quote!)

Obama wants large scale [anti white] racial violence in this country. And he is getting the racial violence, now to increase the scale into major bloodshed.

You people wonder what his Reichstag moment will be? When significant numbers of whites are *forced* into using firearms to defend themselves against racially motivated violence. Then comes the clampdown. Those jack booted thugs in Boston dragging people from their homes? That’s what can be expected for any person that defends themselves against this coming violence.

Race war, followed by official martial law. A genuine possibility.

Are you hoping it will rain silver dollars tomorrow, too, penelopesire? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it'd be about as realistic a hope.

I supported Ken Blackwell for Ohio governor in 06. I also endorsed Lynn Swann in PA that year(the only time I’ve ever cheered for a Pittsburgh Steeler).
