Three in 10 registered American voters believe an armed rebellion might be necessary in the next few years, according to the results of a staggering poll released Wednesday by Fairleigh Dickinson Universitys PublicMind.
The survey, aimed at measuring public attitudes toward gun issues, found that 29 percent of Americans agree with the statement, In the next few years, an armed revolution might be necessary in order to protect our liberties. An additional five percent were unsure.
Eighteen percent of Democrats said an armed revolt might be necessary, as compared to 27 percent of independents and 44 percent of Republicans. Support levels were similar among males and females but higher among less educated voters.

Is that all? Lol.
Resident AmRev historians can put legs on that number.
DHS is buying ammo, but so is everyone else.
College grads disagree...qu’elle surprise.
I’m thinking that the percentage who believe a second revolution may be coming is higher than they indicate and higher among the educated than the less educated. I belive der Fuehrer and his party will likely generate a 1776 moment; another shot heard round the world if you will.
Those who agreed were reported to the Department of Homeland Security....
29% is very similar to the numbers just before the War of Independence. Just sayin’.
I wish they had asked “Veteran or Non-Veteran” too. Would be nice to see how many people who are trained to make loud noises and break things think that rebellion is coming.
Don’t take that as fact. Very many of us with college degrees at various levels believe this is becoming more and more possible and many of us are getting ready to defend the Constitution and reestablish the Republic. Among those of us who are prior or retired military there are even more. We swore to protect and defend the Constitution and many of us still hold that oath as a responsibility.
Interestingly, another poll revealed 71% of all Americans are clueless (100% of the 47% totally clueless are subsumed into this figure).
I think the bigger surprise for me is that the number who disagree is less than 50%!
“higher among less educated voters.”
What, like inner city minorities? I’m so sick of this disgusting elitist attitude to anyone without a degree in queer-theory. These East-West coast nobility drones have such disdain for the “99%” they claim to love. We are dealing with a cabal of Hollywood and Intelligentsia monarchs, and the Mooch is Marie Antoinette!
Doesn't sound good for petty tyrants.
33% pretty soon...if this poll is right.
What is surprising to me about this poll is the percentage of women almost equals the percentage of men.
I had ancestors who were Minutemen in their towns and who were soldiers; one who was on Washington’s personal guard detail. I have as much desire to defend the Constitution and rebuild our Republic as they did in establishing it.
About a third were for the Revolution
About a third were Loyalists
About a third were spectators
As I seem to recall.
We may be closer than I have thought. There may not be much more time left.
My oath to, support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, has no expiration date, not until they carve my expiration date on a tombstone.
We no longer have a free press or free election process.
