Agreed. Was rooting for the Wings so the Pens could get home ice. Tough loss for Detroit.
Gotta hand it to the Hawks coming back from down three games to one and overcoming that bad break to win it in OT...sigh.
(let me know if you want on or off the ping list)

Octopi all over the planet are smiling this morning..
Someone noticed this in a Red Wings’ blog. I guess the gent prefers Rachel Maddow and MSNBC:
But I’m very angry. Very angry with the media that I’ve tried to respect while serving as a complimentary voice to objectivity.
I feel like Sarah *#$%@& Palin on Fox News, a tinfoil-hat wearing nut-job for saying this to some extent...But I feel that it must be said from a subjective Red Wings fan who pretends to be a professional blogger.

So this year’s final 4 is pretty interesting. Not only does it include BOTH #1 seeds (a rarity in in the NHL for both to even get out of the first round much less the second), but it also feature the last 4 cup winners.
Oh and they should be pretty awesome series too.
Ignore the idiot. (no offense to Redwings fans)
It’s too bad I had to work last night & had to catch most of the action on recap. So it looked like Chicago had to “deuce out” the Wings to win anyway ;-). Decent, clean OT-winner by Seabrook at least...
Detroit’s got nothing to hang their heads about RE this post-season, Mike Babcock did another masterful coaching job, and they laid it all on the line to get as far as they did.
Probably his best coaching job, yet.
Interesting point there. I realized that this was a good possibility just as the Boston-NY series was ending.
What I find entertaining is that all these teams had rather long Cup droughts leading up to their recent wins, and now one will double dip in a fairly short span.
Bruins F David Krejci blasts a slapshot through the 5-hole of Pens G' Tomas Vokoun (just missing the NBC logo),
as Boston draws first blood in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
One of many Pens' shots rings off the goalpost behind G Tuukka Rask while Boston is able to find the net,
as the Bruins steal the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals in the Steel City with a 3-0 shutout.

One other thing to be happy for on Sunday nite game: No Emrick or McGuire!!!! Kudos for Darren Pang and Engbloom two individuals who are enthusiastic and possess a deep understanding of the game since they have been there. Why does NBC have these two twits ( Emrik and McGuire)even in the arena when a game is going on? They are doing every thing they can to alienate the knowledgeable fan having these 2 pinheads handle a microphone. Give me Pat Foley.
I didn't picture it going this way.
We aren't even competitive at this point.
