Yeah, I'm pretty sure Shero made a sweet deal already, with T.V.
I was sitting here counting down for the Airborne fireworks - right on schedule. Pens suddenly woke up with a vengeance and walloped the hapless Sens by a football score.
They scored 2 quick goals to take the lead, and I just kept listening (even when the signal came back).
I watched the replays, but not the live action.
Now I may have to listen to game 5.
Don't be lookin' so far ahead there, FRiend.
I know, I know.

It’s easy to believe!
Bummer! Good thing your Army Airborne training kicked in. Find a friend with cable service.
They stated on HNIC that the double-OT Game 3 was 17 minutes beyond the longest that Sens G Anderson ever played in one game; after a decent start, he did look fatigued & ordinary as the game got into the later stages.
And on Pittsburgh’s part, this was one of the most machine-like performances I’ve seen by any team this year...
Yeah, I was watching. The Sens’ building sounded like a church after that blitz. But they were still wigglin’ and managed to get another one past your first string goalie. That’s a weakness in the Pens, they’re streaky.
“Now I may have to listen to game 5.”
I can remember pulling my tabletop radio into bed with me under the covers as a kid and listening to the play by play of the iconic Red Wings production line - Able, Lindsey and Howe. When the crowd would roar, my mom would hear it and take the radio out the room and tell me to go to sleep. In a way that radio play by play was almost as vivid as TV in my mind’s eye when delivered by Budd Lynch.
Cool story!
Hockey fans are a special breed, and stories like yours are a big reason why.

The story about the Hawks v Wings series is great. Pressure’s all on the Hawks now. Pour it on RED WINGS!!!
Here’s an excellent story about Budd Lynch, Detroit’s Voice of Hockey. I don’t know if he is the author of: “he shoots, HE SCORES!” but he had a unique way of delivering it...

There are a lot of good stories about Mr. Lynch. One of my favorites is the one where, in a poker game he was winning on a train out of Montreal, the one-armed Lynch left for a break. When Lynch returned to the game, he caught Gordie Howe setting fire to the Kleenex box he used to hold his cards.

WOAH! Wings shutout Hawks to go up 3-1. Could it happen? Could the mighty Blackhawks fall to the lowly Red Wings at home 1-4 Saturday? Toes is worried about his team “hanging their heads” - that’s not a good omen for the #1 team in the NHL hockey fans.
Lowly?? Suck it shove_it... Wings rock while the Blackhawks roll...
Get a clue RW9 - I’m a BIG RED WINGS FAN!
Killer game last night but we (kings) did deserve that win. I really want the kings to win this round, but I will be feeling sad for Niemi. He’s a great goalie. A worthy adversary. Not that our Jonathan Quick isn’t awesome!
Go Kings!
Well, the Wings can't just lie around, they still need one more win to seal the deal....
