Crews found a pickup truck stuck in a tree almost ten feet off the ground Sunday morning near Sherwood.
Firefighters used thermal imaging to scan the truck at Highway 99 and Middleton Road and found it was empty. The details of how the truck got into the tree are a mystery to investigators. They were first alerted to the tree at 7:30 a.m. and called area hospitals, but no trauma patients came in overnight.
PGE was at the scene due to safety concerns over power lines near the tree.

Did they check YouTube? The person holding the beer in one hand and the phone in the other probably uploaded the video before the saps sobered up.

UFO driver was drunk and picked up a truck instead of a steer. The Bubba drivin’ it ran out of gas trying to get it down from where the UFO dropped it, so he took the keys and climbed down and went home.

My ex-wife once hit a tree. She said it wasn’t her fault. She beeped.

The driver was probably drunk and did the logical thing; left the scene.
Had the driver stayed a costly DUI would have ensued.

LOL...but you gotta wonder...where is the driver?
Have they searched the area in case he was ejected?

Actually, I’ve *seen* that happen. Not a truck, though.
And it ended standing front-up in the tree. Nobody hurt.

Damned fool unlicensed alien scavenger operators!
They should know better than to connect an unmodulated levorotary fraganazzter coil to a dextrorotary snagganfritzen tractor beam; it’’ll blow the circuits and drop whatever’s been grabbed within 5 seconds of lock-on, max.
Unless they’re right on top of the target, they can’t possibly get it locked into the cargo bay in time.
