Friday, April 19, 2013, during a manhunt for a bombing suspect, police and federal agents spent the day storming people's homes and performing illegal searches. While it was unclear initially if the home searches were voluntary, it is now crystal clear that they were absolutely NOT voluntary. Police were filmed ripping people from their homes at gunpoint, marching the residents out with their hands raised in submission, and then storming the homes to perform their illegal searches.
This was part of a larger operation that involved total lockdown of the suburban neighbor to Boston. Roads were barricaded and vehicle traffic was prohibited. A No-Fly Zone was declared over the town. People were "ordered" to stay indoors. Businesses were told not to open. National Guard soldiers helped with the lockdown, and were photographed checking IDs of pedestrians on the streets. All the while, police were performing these disgusting house-to-house searches.
.
And the perps weren’t even there.

The guy was found by ‘a guy with a cigarette’
The country is crawling with terrorists. The only way the government can keep us all safe is to move us off into the Camps where they can watch over us 24/7.
The media portrayed the searches in Watertown as completely voluntary. They were not! This is disturbing on every level.
Americans are willing to put aside their Constitution rights for safety and security. That is how it happens folks. Ben Franklin knew what he was talking about!
There is video which shows the storm troopers making residents put up their hands as they leave their own homes. One woman drops her hands and a weapon is shoved in her face and she shoots her hands back up. But of course the media will support the lies rather than admit the truth of what our lying eyes can see don’tchaknow.
They could have searched more areas if they only checked the outside of the houses and garages looking for blood trail and evidence of breakins. From what I heard, the guy was hiding 1 street past the search grid.
Lol. Expect news of terrorists everywhere now. Unfortunately our government will have to suspend some rights to go after them. For our "safety," of course.
Pure propaganda.
The searches were constitutional, legal, and done by the book. I haven’t seen any evidence to the contrary, no matter how many of the propagators of this stuff I’ve asked.
Fact is, the folks spreading this stuff around simply don’t know the law. They don’t know the difference between a reasonable and an unreasonable search. They’ve virtually never heard of exigent circumstances, which is the legal criteria.

And millions will rush to it like lemmings over a cliff. Hell, they’re already doing it taking the government dole all around the world.
The terrorists were wearing the police uniforms. But, they were just following orders.

Had he not been locked down he may have taken care of it himself in a timely manner (if he was armed) and saved taxpayers $
Bottom line ... no more proof is needed... Govt mistrusts it’s Citizens, therefore I mistrust anything that is Govt.
(That is a hard conclusion to come to after wearing a Uniform for 28 years)
TT
Frankly, it looked like a good old fashioned "hot pursuit" situation, and it turned out to be exactly that.
If those folks had been properly armed it'd been over in a lot less time!
Was it really necessary to roust a family from their home at gunpoint, treated like criminals simply for staying put in their own home?
I was home sick on Friday (still feeling under the weather today) and I found the whole scene as it unfolded in Watertown, MA, to be totally surreal and shocking. I understand they were after a dangerous terrorist. He ended up being wounded, hiding in a boat stored in a backyard and found by a regular citizen, despite all of the paramilitary law enforcement show of force, that ended up violating many innocent citizens rights. The sneaking suspicion that came to me watching it all unfold was will we be seeing more of such shows of force? Probably so if/when the SHTF!
Can you provide a link to some proof?
Not that being voluntary is necessarily a legal requirement under certain circumstance.
This is rather disturbing, but I suspect was rather commonplace in Watertown. I lived in Germany for almost 10 years during the Baeder Meinhoff gang and other terrorist era. Bombings, while not commonplace, happened throughout that period. The German government never did anything like this though they certainly were at work behind the scenes to catch the terrorists. Innocent German civilians were never treated like this. I never thought that I would be making such a comparison.
The guy was bleeding out. A dog could have found him in 10 minutes. Heck, why do that when you can have 2000 stormtroopers going into citizens homes.
All part of the conditioning.
That's offensive. Outrageous.
Those folks wearing the uniforms work for us. They are us. And they were simply fulfilling the first duty of all government, which is to protect the lives of We the People.
If the searches of innocent citizens actually went down like this, then a class action lawsuit against the local, state and federal government is in order. If no one has the guts or support to do that...this will continue.
