Three years ago I teamed up with Mark Stein of VF to write his bio/a history of rock in the golden age. We could. Not find a publisher, but Mark has it. On his web site, www.mark-stein.com. It is IMHO a very good book. It has all of the details of the albums, the breakup, Cactus, Boomerang, and Beck Bogert Appice.

Wow that's some good stuff. I love learning about the inside workings of the groups, the musicians and their collaborations and creations. I'd like to see/hear more of it. I'm on my way to check out "Rockin the Wall". Music as a weapon against Islam intrigues me.

There was a conservative talk show host from Texas who I used to listen to named David Gold who was a brilliant historian of rock and roll's evolution through the 60's. Sometimes he would get into discussing music and artists and I would be mesmerized and wished he'd never stop. He was also writing a historical book on rock music that I was looking forward to. I think he has been dealing with health problems and deafness. I called him once and learned he was a FReeper (davidtalker), but I haven't seen him here in some time.

David, if you're out there; I miss ya.

Went to Mark's website and was amazed, once again. A book about Tommy Bolin! "Teaser" is another one of my all time favorites.
