Yes - very common for a house to line the golf course. Happens all the time (retreiving balls from private yards - not trees falling on them).
I thought it must have been a eucalyptus tree, but apparently not.
Eucalyptus trees sometimes self-amputate branches, sometimes large branches, much to the surprise of people walking beneath them.
Loose impediment or movable obstruction?
Hopefully, they let the group behind play through.
2 stroke penalty if he had already been put on the clock for slow play...
Golfers should wear helmets...watch for a hearing and proposed legislation.
Hope he doesn’t sign an incorrect score card.
I can relate to that. I have over 30 years of experience with a chain saw (consumer use) and one time I was cutting down a tree, using the proper procedure, when the tree started spinning--yes, spinning--on its trunk. I had no idea of the direction in which it was going to fall, so I just decided to run one way and luckily for me, it was one of the right ways.
i read that and for some reason, heard it in the voice of Charlie Brown's parents... :)
More like a bad drop.
