Woman receives marriage proposals after attractive police mugshot is posted on Reddit

Most people don’t look their best when having their photo taken after being arrested – but Meagan Simmons has won admirers who’ve even gone so far as to propose to her from her police mugshot alone.

When Ms Simmons was detained for driving under the influence she could never have imagined a photo of her would go viral and, as a result, she would receive dozens of marriage proposals.

But that’s what’s happened to the separated mother-of-four from Florida, USA, when a police picture from 2010 ended up online.

One man from Ireland wrote on Reddit: ‘What’s up with that surname, you must have Irish heritage?’

He continued: ‘You got bar work experience? Come to Ireland, I’ll put you up for a while and you can work in my friend’s pub while you find your feet, look up your family history and then move on to something better.

‘Over here, we don’t call you a criminal for driving drunk (unless repeatedly caught). I’m not joking by the way.’

Another man was equally enamoured by the beautiful vixen’s mugshot – and said he would take her in.

He added: ‘I hope if you have a man he takes care of you and showers you with love and tenderness. If we were together you would need for nothing .

‘I would go to the ends of the earth just to make you happy.’

Ms Simmons isn’t completely happy with the attention she has received though.

She has revealed being forced to block people on social networks because they had been sending her rude messages.

‘It’s crazy lol – I don’t understand what all the hype is about,’ she wrote on Twitter.

‘That arrest was in 2010 get over it already #meme’
